Not sure about the rest of you but when I played football if you weren't delivering you sat on the bench and the next man got his chanceand you just had to suck it up.

How entitled are these pricks?

And the lad that replaced him is pulling up trees?

Gakpo has been equally shíte, yet starts more often than not. And you could add quite a few to that list.

I'm not keen on entitlement based on previous performances and that was the crux of Salahs rant, I don't agree with him on that, but he was no worse than some others equally shíte, yet was the one singled out for benching and not to get a run on against Leeds was poor.

Don't follow it that closely to know whos playing well or not tbh, if Gakpo's been shite then get the next man in, same goes for anyone.

Perhaps not, but Salah had a deal whereby he was excused from the defensive side of the game in return for providing goals and assists. When he was providing those (along with Trent), the defensive weaknesses down that side of the field were considered a price worth paying.

Now Trent is gone, new players are in, and Salah still doesn't have to do the defensive work, but he's also offering very little in attack. It may be a loss of form on Salah's part, it may be the difficulty of knitting all these new players into a coherent attack that includes him, but whatever it is, he has not been worth his spot in the past month or two. He's missing chances he would have devoured in previous seasons, he's not effective against the low blocks Liverpool are constantly facing.

Gakpo may be not much better, and is failingg to bring Kerkez's strengths in attack in effect, but at least he's popping up here and there with a goal and an assist.

The one who should really be upset is Chiesa, but he never has a negative word in public.

Maybe it's just me

And so it comes to pass :(

"Slot has spoken of his team's problems with set pieces, low blocks, costly defensive errors and profligacy all season and hasn't rectified any of them. "

Why can't they be fixed?

None of us knows what's been going on behind the scenes at training.  But given Mo's previous record when it comes to getting any benchtime, it's possible (and probable) that he hasn't reacted in the right way to being dropped against West Ham and being on the subs against Sunderland, and that's forced the manager's hand a bit. It would be one possible explanation for him not getting any time against Leeds.  Regardless of that, if Liverpool were struggling to score a goal against Leeds then there was a bigger case for bringing him on, but that wasn't the issue at all.

Anyway, it's hard to see him being in the squad for the Brighton game now - it's too much of a sideshow.  It's looking like a fairly sad way to finish his Liverpool career.
That's just, like your opinion man.

statto

Konate and Liverpool could have done with a bit of luck on that handball call. Deserved to be ahead, but could be big momentum swing.

quit yo jibbajabba

Decent performance so far but no pace in the team...no threat on the break at all now

statto

Played with a unity tonight and bit of statement that back Slot.

Truthsayer

That's the answer for £400,000 a week Mo throwingʻ the dummy out of the pram...

laoislad

Good win, soft penalty but were the better team tonight so deserved win.
Nordie Tayto is shite

Take anything from the San siro, gritty performance

None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Good performance and a nice bit of luck with a penalty you'll get in Europe, but never in the Premier League. Wonder would VAR have seen it without Wirtz's comical dive afterwards? From the angles they showed, it was hard to tell, either way, if he would have got to the dropping ball without the shirt pull, but I've no idea if that is a factor or not.

There was no need for the defender to pull Wirtz back, so penalty for me.

I don't get how in the premier league a certain amount of pulling is allowed, provided it isn't sustained or some other nonsense. A quick pull and let go can deny momentum just the same as a longer pull.

Liverpool will be happy with the result obviously and it was a "workman like" performance with no gifted goals so that's a positive.

Serious questioning of Slot and VVD by the Amazon crew on Slot after the game, getting tiresome asking more or less the same question in different ways and it didn't sound like Slot was in a conciliatory mood just yet.
