Next day potatoes are the best fried. Garlic, onion, LOADS of butter and pour a few whipped eggs over. You'll have to mind the heat you don't burn the butter.

Even better if left over bacon and cabbage. Same recipe. Fry your onions and garlic. Fry in the cabbage and chopped spuds. Then add the chopped left over bacon. Pour over your eggs. Salt and pepper to suit but generally shouldn't need to as you'll have the flavour of the butter. A meal for the Gods.

Serve Look-ups dish on a nice piece of toast and you've got yourself a bacon and cabbage hash sandwich. Sounds mouthwatering to be fair.

Actually a fancy affair. Served as tiny round yokes decorated along edges with parsley. You soak the onions to take edge off

Ciabatta. If your feeling posh. All good additions; but no id draw the line with pepper sauce or gravy inside the sambo.

I find for a steak sandwich, a nicely  oiled ciabatta is probably more important than the steak.
