I don't have the link unfortunately but it was interesting to see people absolutely lose their sh*t at the PSNI Down facebook page for daring to do a post as gaeilge following their visit to a bunscoil in Downpatrick. It's sad that people actually feel threatened by a language.

the post in question

Wouldn't pay any heed to those posts, you get them on virtually every Irish News, Bel Tel and Belfast Live news story on Facebook. More and more people are becoming "proficient" with social media, and feel the need to spout their bigoted idiocy for the world to see. I browsed the comments on that PSNI post for about 30 seconds, the people complaining tend to be either retired/unemployed, Loyalist or Unionist and semi-literate - all the telltale signs of a moron with nothing better to do with their time. One guy was confused as to why there was no post in Ulster Scots...

Snarlene tweeted congratulations to Harry and Megan (sic). Some hilarious replies on twitter.

She blamed it on one of her skivys - can't take responsibility for anything!

DUP will implode, is it just me or does the media in the occupied 6 never challenge the unionists -  DUP councillors on yapping about the cost and no one ever holds them to account for "waste" re: RHI for example.

I dunno like, RHI got wall to wall coverage at the time. There were several special investigative shows on the issue, and the editor of the Belfast Telegraph released a book on it.

And yet the final figure has recently been released but the DUP's main concern (well they can't say what they really feel)  on the issue is cost which is a drop in the ocean of the RHI but sure that's in the past don't mention it.

You can't say "but RHI" forever and ever given that the minister responsible is long gone.

Caught the start  of  Nolan last night.  Some  Unionist  politician saying they're taking this  to court

If the  council vote  had  gone the other way , they'd have said democracy has spoken. When it doesn't go their way (like the  city hall flag) , they bitch and   moan and threaten  violence and court cases.

I honestly think it's  all a facade. They have to be seen  to be kicking up a fuss.  If they didn't , theyd  face  criticism from their knuckledragger voters  for lying down and doing nothing

It also serves them  well come next election, where they can raise  same knuckledraggers out in numbers to vote against  those pesky taigs who are taking over  the place .

As for the policy , no doubt again the  whinging and moaning will have an  affect. Signs  defaced, council vans vandalised etc.  It will cost a fortune to  continually repair property.

I am shocked beyond words that Nolan covered this topic last night. Shocked.

Unfortunately (for them) it is something they are going to have to get used too over the next few years. Belfast Council is big news because it is the biggest Council and now they have lost control of this, most likely never to regain it, they are going to have to get used to the new reality.

The DUP are struggling to fight reality. There was never a Protestant State.
States endure. Demographic change is the DUP's problem.
