Quite surprised to see Senior championship starters...starting a reserve final

Care to name them?

Tbf I never saw any. Don't know all of them tbh but on reading that team sheet in Saffron gael none of them are familiar names.

The Saffron Gael report has a few familiar names on both sides. But that's the nature of reserve football being a mix of older fellas past their prime and younger fellas possibly in the conversation for a senior jersey. I did see big Eunan Quinn was playing and he's been playing county football this year

Friday and Sunday.

Dunsilly is the correct venue choice, but it doesn't feel right to be playing Championship Semi Finals on a Friday night. Boys rushing home from work etc

Don't think he has featured much for the cargin seniors , coming back from injury I believe

You'll go back a good while to find Eunan Quinns name on a teamsheet due to injury/travel I believe.

edit - also NAS, according to the saffron gael he only came on as sub. Seems you are struggling to read now.

Try harder NAS, or better still - educate yourself and take a look at the opponents teamsheet and your point might stand up.

Same time as the NFL in Croke Park.

Wonder if they'll change it?

Seems to be Only 2 players for Portglenone who started their last Senior championship game and 2 featured for Cargin who also played their last senior championship game...

In previous years i have seen a lot more crossing over especially from City clubs but maybe due to a lack of numbers?

Going by the saffron gael report of the cargin team: Erin's Own: Daniel Mc Cann, Sean og Quinn, Gerard Mc Corley, Hugh O' Donnell (0-01), Benny Laverty (0-02), Cahir Donnelly (0-01), Ronan Devlin, Charlie Mc Cann, Oran Molloy, Jack Harney, Damien Mc Davitt, Callum Gribbin (10*) Jack Harney, PJ Quinn, Mark Kelly (0-02), Ben Mc Larnon (2-00)

I would be surprised to see any of those players wearing 1-15 against us next weekend.

In terms of PG1: Casements: Brian Mc Manus, Johnny Comvery, Shane Delargy, Michael Kelly, Ryan Convery, Declan Dobbin, Paddy Graffin, Stephen Kelly (0-03), Ciaran Lynch, Fearghal O' Kane (0-01), Corey Mc Laughlin, Michael Donnelly (0-01), James Mc Larnon (0-01), Ciaran Mc Aleese (1-04), Sean Byrne

Maybe Ryan Convery and Paddy Graffin? I dont see much else who i'd expect to lineout v Dunloy.

Teams are allowed a couple of 'graded' players to play reserve as well as senior are they not regardless?

Two graded players allowed in league but no graded players in cups

Educate myself? Starters for Portglenone started a reserve final in between Senior quarter final and semi final. Thought this was quite strange? Obviously not

Take the Mark

You were referring to Cargin at the outset as you mentioned a Cargin player and no others.

The clue is in the name 'reserve' - the very high percentage of all on show won't start for the senior teams in weeks to come and as such are needing football as much as anyone else.

Venues for those games are a joke. Hightown or Hannahstown for those games.

Take the Mark

Those venues look like they have been picked blindly, without knowing any of the teams involved.
