Good enough shouts PJ. Both clubs cater well for big games going by previous experiences. The only real reason for the final to be in Corrigan Park is the covered stand. Pitch is top class too but Portglenones looked similar a couple of weeks ago.

But can we get back to talking about Lavey sorry St Brigids

Ryan has been in Dunloy since he was 14 when he played hurling only. When he left minor he decided himself to stay at the club.

Aodhan came to play hurling at underage, like his younger brother James, as Ballymena didn't offer it to them at the time. They had a fall out with their own club and it ended up in them deciding to make a permanent transfer.

I dont remember when James started to play for us. Hes been there forever it seems. He lives in Dunloy as well i think?

I dont see these lads as blow ins

Conor Kinsella& Deaglan Smith have been in Dunloy since they were kids when their families moved from Belfast, that isnt seen as being a blow in

No fall out and Aodhan didnt play a minute of underage for Dunloy
Rasharkin and Dunloy are next door neighbours. Id say half of Rasharkins members have a Dunloy postcode. He moved in 2022 or 2023..hardly forever?

Moving from Belfast to Dunloy is a different matter, similar to these "professionals" moving into south belfast and joining the local club??

Are Bredagh and Carryduff the most hated clubs in Co Down out of curiosity?

Not evidently as much as St Brigids are in Antrim..

"Fall out  with the club"...I think the term is "economical with the truth"

St Brigids weren't always unlikeable. I never had many issues with them growing up and loved playing them at the rugby ground! Some feed put on after the games  ;D  But the past number of years they are an unlikeable crowd! Was delighted to see Dunloy beat them. They've some fantastic underage players coming through so it will be interesting to see if they make it to senior with all the blow ins they have.

As for us this year and the soap opera around the management! The less said the better! Couldn't wait for the season to end.

whatever happens with the management teams and fall outs you would like to hope the players still had a bit of pride for their own clubs... didnt see any of that on friday night

Seen and noted during and after the game, there'd be no objections as far as I'm aware. These things happen, unfortunately

That's why I admire St Galls, they took their beating and moved on. Other clubs should have a look at them instead of trying to win championships in a committee room.

Quote from: paddyjohn on September 17, 2025, 12:23:52 PMDunloy V Portglenone should be in Ahoghill. Cargin V Creggan should be in Portglenone.

Final in Ahoghill, the price of fuel and everything else we should be forced to drive to the City.

Draw made on Sunday and the fixtures still not released on a Wednesday. How could it possible take this long.

Quote from: Take the Mark on September 17, 2025, 12:02:09 PMLast 4 of the SFC are from the south west, obviously the semi finals will be held in the locality with Dunsilly being a sure bet for one of them at least. But the final, should it be the same? Or is it all hands up to the city again? 1 final appearance from city teams in 8 years now...

Last time Cargin and Creggan played they had it in St Endas so you never know.

Last time we played it was in Dunsilly on a Saturday night went to extra time

Its amazing that you seem shocked about the lack of organisation in this county. Its a complete shit storm from top to bottom.

YoungSaff

seems silly to have any games for SFC outside sw

Cargin Creggan - PG1

PG1 Dunloy - Ahoghill

where will intermediate games be ?

Moneyglass St Threasas - dunsilly ?

Sarsfields Glenavy - Dunsilly ? Corrigan?

above makes sense to me

Maybe Glenavy/Sarsfields in Lamh Dearg be slightly more Neutral. MG/St T could easily be in St Endas or glenavy.
But id imagine the senior semis will be in Dunsilly.

Could Ballymena host PG1 vs Dunloy?
