One of many many gun deaths in America, is there a hierarchy system that one murdered victim gets more attention over others?

"When people stop talking that's when violence happens" Charlie Kirk

He was always willing to have a debate on ideas, respectfully listened and argued his point. You don't have to agree with everything but we all should listen to the other side. Something that is missing in today's society. The other side is always Far ____, so you shouldn't talk to that crazy crowd.

Looking at some of the comments on here, this world has gone vile. A wife has lost her husband, two kids have lost a dad and many believe the US has lost someone that was trying to communicate and discuss the difference between the sides.

RIP Charlie Kirk

I'm not sure he was listening or being respectful to be fair.. from never hearing about him and from watching the various 'debates' he had, there was no compromise nor did he accept that people are different and live and let live and as Jesus said ( I'm not religious ) live and let live, love thy neighbour

No, he seemed to be on a crusade

Plenty of fathers brothers friends are being murdered in the US, he's another stat unfortunately in a bizarre place, maybe keeping under the radar and putting your family first instead of trying to 'fix' things he'd still be around today

The world has turned vile, though you'd need to turn you're ire away from this board and look closer to the person you're eulogising. Billionaires (through media) and grifters have pulled the wool of many eyes and are cashing in on this division

Quote from: Eamonnca1 on September 11, 2025, 05:32:09 PMKinda mad how the right is losing its sh1t over an act of political violence as if it were just invented yesterday. Reminds me of how America suddenly "discovered" the existence of terrorism on this day in 2001, while the rest of the world was already familiar with it.

Also kinda wild how the right is claiming that the left is where the first shot came from. It's damn all of the sort. Here's a list of incidents where RWNJs have killed people, and the right just shrugged their shoulders about it:

- Oklahoma City bombing (1995): Timothy McVeigh; 168 killed.
- Centennial Olympic Park bombing (1996): Eric Rudolph; 2 killed, 111 injured.
- Charleston church shooting (2015): Dylann Roof; 9 killed.
- Charlottesville car attack (2017): James Alex Fields Jr.; 1 killed, 28 injured.
- Pittsburgh synagogue shooting (2018): Robert Bowers; 11 killed.
- El Paso Walmart shooting (2019): Patrick Crusius; 23 killed.
- Buffalo supermarket shooting (2022): Payton Gendron; 10 killed.

Honey what are you doing on your phone?

Be right there, I'm just listing Conservative mass shooters on a GAA forum.

Thats a very good quote and a true one, say what you like about Kirk but he put himself forward for debates and stood over his opinions and allowed others to argue theirs.

Some of his opinions were absolutely vile especially around Gaza, but he didn't deserve to be shot for them. Forgive me if I save my tears for the thousands of innocents in Gaza rather than the man who cheered on their murderers though.

I've seen alot of clips of him in the last 24 hours where he actually questioned the narrative on Gaza though, both from 2023 and as recent as 2 days before he was killed. He wanted to know why it took the Israelis 6hours to respond to the Hamas attacks in 2023 and theorised the delay was deliberate as it was a huge propaganda coup for Israel. On his show this week he said it was reasonable to question the Israeli narrative just a little, or something to that effect.

Is that the same argument they use for Enoch Burke standing outside the school, he stood over his opinions yada yada yada...

Muck savage you lead a very sheltered life If that's the case. If you only listened to the grift of Kirk you'd still be aware how vile the world is, coming from his mouth.

He was a horrible person, with disgusting opinions imo, debating unprepared kids in most cases (not all, I seen a clip of I think him debating an Oxford lad who made mince meat out of him). None of which justifies his murder.

Yea 20 year olds are adults not kids and they all came forward to speak to him, he didnt accost them, and he regularly was a guest on podcasts/talking groups etc where everyone was middle aged. You can't accuse the man of shying away from difficult conversations when he's made a career out of it.

Haven't seen those to be honest.

Sad irony in his quote about a certain amount of deaths from gun violence being worth it to allow Americans the right to own guns.

Mass shootings of innocent school children in the US...shrug shoulders.
1 gun supporting extremist shot ...media meltdown, including the Irish media.
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

I've been saying for years that Ireland would become a better place if it wasn't so infatuated with America.

The amount of airtime and headlines given over here to US elections / Trump / shootings / left wing / right wing, it's actually frightening.

We should not aspire to be America.

of an age where i refer to college going adults as kids... doesn't change the point. any difficult conversation I saw he was made mince meat of as I referred too. they made have come forward but were mostly just college kids not grifting for a living.

I saw one student ask him about MJ being the greatest, his initial response define greatness... he was just shy of being Derek Acorah.

if I was open to debating or not acosting anyone about the age of consent be dropped to 7 years old, I don't think you'd be lauding me for not being shying away from difficult conversations.
