Mickey Hughes from 'Bronagh' scored 15 points v 'trackballs'. 3 from play including 1 x 2 pointer, 4 x 2 point frees and then 4 regular frees. Hit his frees well but contributed very little from open play to justify getting MOTM or player of the match to be precise.

Is there anything to stop a Thirds team playing their senior reserves? I suppose not.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Anyone who hasn't played senior reserves can  play I believe

Jerome

As far as I know a thirds team cannot be in the same division as the first team. So Errigal III can be promoted if they win the junior championship but wouldn't be able to go to senior.

Is it implied that 2025 EC Senior Reserves played for the Thirds? Surely not? I believe Ryan Ward played for EC Seniors in 2024?  EC thirds team yesterday was much stronger than any team they fielded at any stage during the league that is for sure, no other team in Junior football has this advantage.

What about the players Derrytresk transferred in from other clubs? Bad times if they couldn't see off Errigal

I think any club that only has a division 3 team would know by and large when they come to play their opponents in the championship who they will face. Davy Harte for example wouldn't be a surprise as he has played for EC 3 in the last few years it does seem though that many who togged out for EC 3 yesterday never played throughout the league. There may be legitimate reasons why those players didn't play but if it's being implied they didn't then it's a reasonable enough question to ask why they didn't play earlier in the league. It's also undeniable that it's a massive advantage that 3rds teams have over other junior teams. The remaining junior teams will have what they have player wise and can't summon 5 players who will
Improve their team into their ranks from a division 1 senior or reserve squad. A player transferring to a junior club can't play senior or reserve football in the same season for another club as far I know? I could be wrong so in essence it's an uneven playing field. Omagh 3rds made a mockery of Division 3b by conceding the amount of games they did. The lads who played honestly for EC3 all year who got dropped must feel valued, they were good enough to get pummelled all year but dropped for the championship. This isn't about Derrytresk or anyone else's inability to beat EC 3 it's about sporting integrity. If Killyman had of drawn EC then on paper it would have been a 50/50 game but with EC being able to summon reinforcements a team like Killyman wouldn't stand a chance. The real laugh is the CB split Division 3 in two to try and stop smaller clubs getting the beatings they were taking the 3rds teams need to a club within a club either you want to play junior football or Division 1 seniors or reserves not all 3.

Boghopper

Derrytresk had ample chances to beat EC3 and didn't take them so on the day they can only blame themselves.

WT4E a relieved man that his 2nd team live to fight another day with a free with the last kick of the game.

Did drumquin throw that game away or did the referee get beragh back into it?

Did Jet just say Stewartstown won an All Ireland club title? Maybe I misheard him. They definitely didn't.

If he's gonna start asking quiz questions in commentary he'd need to make sure he knows the answer himself. The co-commentator was correct in saying cookstown was the 3rd team with Greencastle and the Moy.
