Malachy record so far isnt great reading. Relegation to division 2, beaten by Armagh, Win against a most likely tired Donegal team, beaten by Mayo.

The Cavan game is going to be a big one.

It's his first year and he's made mistakes so will give him a bye on that. The biggest mistake is going back instead of forward. Asking players who left to come back hasn't worked. He should have brought more of the U20's in instead.

McElholm was a miss off the bench what was the problem - celebrating?

Yes its his first year but hes not exactly new. Been about tyrone for years and knows alot of the players.

To be honest i expected more from given his connection to errigal and his experience as a manager.

Tyrone & Mayo two inconsistent sides. The games between the two are a toss of a coin. Think the two week break benefitted Mayo, Tyrone miles away from the big game in Ballybofey 7 nights ago.

Can someone explain that performance to me please and thank you.

The midfield sector just not there and when they did get it away short we struggled to work the ball out. Kick outs seemed to go to areas where mayo had the numbers but without Kennedy there is no bother kick out option.

All this lead to our full forward line living off scraps. Ball should have been moved quicker on numerous occasions with Peter Harte probably having to start next game as only one that gets the head up for a kick pass.

Tyrone have to find at last 2 strong tall kick out options from somewhere. That won't happen over night. Disappointing night but still all to play for

Just back.  Shocking performance.  Not blaming the ref but it looked like tyrone had to work harder for the frees?  Tyrone put a glove on a mayo man and he was blowing

Quote from: reddgnhand on May 31, 2025, 07:42:12 PMCould Morgan not have punched that out. He's becoming a serious liability.

A man of his experience should have known to punch it out as its a long way to the other end of the field.  Big impact on the game

Tyrone HF line is a serious problem. Offer no threat on the scoreboard, don't offer a kickout option nor are they great kickers or playmakers of the play.

Just run back without actually offering a tackling presence or defensive mind either.
I don't like to name men but Daly, O'Donnell (2 goals last week aside), Donaghy & even R Canavan don't look up to county standard.

Would agree. We havent added many consistently solid players over the past 2 years.

Look at the half forward line for a start. 3 games in a row it's been totally changed during the game. Certain players can't score, can't tackle, don't field the ball ànd can't run.

Just seen your post spot on.Will MOR go with the same ineffective HF line 4 games in a row?

In previous 3 games he's tried Daly, donaghy, Oguz, Harte, Seanie O'Donnell, m Donnelly, mark Bradley and Ruairi Canavan for smaller spell today
