Quote from: Turf on April 14, 2025, 09:03:50 AM36 wins for Slot now in his first 50 games.
In comparison Klopp won 26 of his first 50 while Fagan and Kenny both had 29.
Some going for Slot. In fairness to Klopp he didn't inherit a great squad but for Slot,a  guy who was supposed to struggle in his first season, 36/50 is a fantastic return.

The challenge is to keep doing it. Conte won a league in his first year at Chelsea and was sacked after his second season. Salah and VVD staying will be a big boost but the league has been poor enough this season with Liverpool the only club playing at a high level. They'll get it tougher next season for sure but at the end of the day Liverpool's name will go on the trophy and it doesn't say everyone else was shite on the roll of honour. Deserved champs but I think they'll definitely need to bring in a few good players to defend it.

what a load of shite

Villa 3-2 PSG
Arsenal 3-0 Madrid
Arsenal 2-0 PSG
Madrid 1-2 Arsenal
Arsenal 0-1 West Ham
Bournemouth 2-1 City
Forest 1-0 City
Fulham 3-2 Liverpool
Liverpool 2-2 Fulham
Newcastle 3-3 Liverpool
Newcastle 1-0 Arsenal
Liverpool 2-2 United
City 1-2 United 2
Liverpool 0-1 Forest

Spurs and United 2nd and 3rd favourites for the Europa League

This poor/weak league chat is just wrong.

WTF has this got to do with anything? The fact is no other team has been consistent. Liverpool will have lost leagues with more points than they'll get this year. 2nd place is on about 60 odd points and don't think 3rd has even broken 60 yet. Other teams are well below their usual levels of consistency.

Doesn't this mean the league is infact really difficult if middle teams keep getting results against the top? Think before you type ffs....

Anyone think Trent gets swayed by the emotion of winning the league, Anfield crowd, family etc...does a u-turn and stays?

No as it's likely Klopp will be the Real coach despite the denials.

Thought Alonso was the next in line?

Klopp doesn't fit the Madrid mould.
That's just, like your opinion man.

There's no improvement.

The greatest individual season in PL history.

"Over the hill"

Oh my.
Ah sure look hasn't Liverpools transfer policy been shit the last 8 years anyways. Sure what have they won.

Letting players go for free then buying them back for £100 million only to let them go on a free again is a far better way to do business.

Not many clubs would be able to keep two high profile world class players who are out of contract.  Normally they'd be off to the highest bidder raking in even bigger money.  It's a very positive sign for Liverpool supporters.

100%

It's the weakest league in a long time

Weak or strong I don't care as long as we're winning them. The league being weak is no consolation if we finished second or third.
