Two pointer free missed for Cork to level it.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Kerry very very lucky. Cork kicked themselves out of it.

Right result on balance but Kerry will trouble none of the big guns with that kind of performance. Much too soft at the back and rescued by a couple of big moments in ET.

O'Connor deserved MOTM.

Should have been taken off the ground.

Think O'Connor was trying to drive over a point but fortunately for him it went to the net.

Should have been taken off the ground.

O'Driscoll had an effort off the ground at the end of the first half of ET that was missed.

Cahalane had a better chance in the final attack but didn't pull the trigger and they really had to work to create that final opportunity. Very tired legs kicking it I imagine.

Quote from: gallsman on April 19, 2025, 08:32:38 PMBit stupid from Paudie but that's a harsh red. Yellow would have been fine. The arms actually went around at shoulder height and then Taylor slipped into making it look much worse than it was.

Straight red. No debate.

Anything high with any force is a red. Clear as day red.

Anyway, it was a red for silliness in doing it. No need to do it.

Cork's red wasn't a red. It was a yellow. Not a head tackle.

Glad the new rules done away with ambiguity and made it a brilliant spectacul to watch, some skills on show.

gallsman

There's lots of debate, unless you're stupid or blind. It wasn't high. Paudie wrapped him around the upper arms and then the defender slipped.

Cork red was ridiculous.

They left that one behind with some crucial misses but they had plenty of chances to put Kerry away. Cork will be sore but they can be optimistic about where they're going. They are crying out for a decent left footed forward though.

If you were a Kerry man you'd be worried. They were on the ropes for a lot of that game and just managed to avoid several match ending upper cuts.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Couldn't believe the keeper didn't come up. Straight kick and he has the length. Also thought he should have taken the free O Discoll hit off the ground.

Unreal game and very enjoyable. The rules contributed to it but the effort levels were unreal from both teams. A lot of mistakes but that's just the game.

Cork are like Man Utd, they'll raise the bar and produce a performance like that then go out with a whimper to a team like Meath.

That's a fair point.

But the key thing is every game is played on it's own merits. One game at a time. There is no such thing as picking up form i.e. winning one game by 2pts, then the next game by 5pts etc.

Just get over the line. Every game is different and there's no comparsion between the game that went before.

Look at Galway and Mayo - just win each game. Who cares how and by how much? Then move on to the next game.
