By my reckoning that decision has cost the GAA in the region of £300,000 in lost revenue.( 10,000 people @ £30 a head).

Will be thinking about that the next time someone asks me to buy a ticket for a raffle or sponsor something.

Ye raging?

Disappointed but not surprised

I'm going to buy a ticket and not even go just to keep an Armagh one out.

no shame on the Antrim players whatsoever

Sportacus

No idea what went on behind the scenes, but the right outcome.  If the Ulster Council realised the error and flipped it then fair play, no one never made a decision which with hindsight they could've done differently. Reality is the Armagh season ticket holders will have plenty of other days to look forward to.

100% agree Spartacus, in hindsight UC should have just come out and made their case purely on financial grounds, and it would have got much less of an emotional response, and more of a realistic one. Imo.

It's a case now of a bird in the hand, still a payday of sorts, and some Armagh supporters can settle for the TV that day and look forward to bigger days out.

Was that interview not before the meeting which confirmed the venue?
Ulster council do not come out of this well in any case.

My bad, the interview was before

Why the early throw in at 12:30pm, it's not exactly a Celtic v Rangers scenario.

That explains it, thanks, fair enough reason.
