Quote from: EOC1923 link=msg=2328938 adate=1742143356Well done to Andy McEntee and our own Terry McCrudden, great job lads. £120k per season over 3 seasons to take us backwards and back down to the basement.
Is a cargin man complaining about paying out money to managers?
Pot kettle black
Yes Cargin, like every single other club in Ireland pay their manager lol,
I actually have no problem with paying a manager, but when he leaves you in a worse place than when he arrived that's my issue.

You would like every other club in Antrim to stop trying, stop coaching the kids and be equally as shite as the clubs you name.
You are symptomatic of the problem in Antrim! Davitts, wise up you fool.

They have certainly had a coach/manager who was due to be paid either by the club directly  or via team "fundraising". I've  no problem  with clubs paying managers/coaches- as long as they are improving teams, but some of the money that is being paid out is ridiculous, often with very little impact.

You'd hardly pay the coaches they have ffs none have been a success at any level

same as l the other bluffers. Why not go and spend on decent coaches? They, like so many others will never win anything because they don't have the capability to do so with their own

Kevin Madden at least has the brass neck to go and bluff away from his door step

Gael-in-exile

Can anyone let me know the last time the football leagues in Antrim ran from one year to the next with no outside change (structure or team requests).

From the outside a 16 team D1, 10 team D2, & 8 team D3 look ridiculous. And the opening round results don't help the claims that the current structure is suitable.

EOC1923

Completely off piste now. Andy McEntee is a shite manager that we paid a fortune for. Left us in division 4

Where do we go from here? Is it better to pull the trigger now in the hope of salvaging a tailteann cup run or ride it out until the inevitable conclusion? Lets be honest, we arent beating Armagh,
no matter where its played. Surely our county board should be starting  to look at potential successors now rather than leaving it til the club championships are over in the autumn and wasting a lot of time, although I wouldn't  be too confident in that happening. Any potential internal managers out there?
