Quote from: johnnycool on March 11, 2025, 10:59:02 PMNothing between those two teams, if anything Liverpool the stronger bench but I think we all had doubts when Nunez strode up to take his pen, he didn't look confident at all..

Jones didn't catch his clean either and did look to that side of the goal quite a bit when waiting to take his.

Slot would have taken a PL title at the start of the season and it's in the bag .
Before the season started they were saying Slot would be lucky to get top 4 and would need a full season to adapt to the Premier League.
It looks now like he will win the Premier League in his first season.
Imagine what he could do when he gets his own players in.
Im not sure even if Liverpool won last night that they would have won the Champions League this season.
Definitely are starting to look tired now. Just as well they are so far ahead in the League.

No complaints over the two legs the better side won. Actually thought Nunez would have started last night but even when he came on his decision making wasn't great. Think that was the final nail in Liverpool coffin and be gone in summer. Could be a back 4 of Quansah, Endo, Virgil and Robbo for Sunday. Strange move taking MacAllister off who would have fancied score penalty Nunez and Jones not so much.

Better team over the 2 legs won. Exciting and loads of variety in their attack. They will give it a real good shout to win it.

As for Liverpool,  as has been said a first season where the leg is there to be lost and in the league cup final at the weekend. Would have been a dream at the start of the year. A few moves in the summer and Slot will start implanting his players in the squad and it's exciting times.

Would Liverpool have the 'clout' to pull some of those PSG players? some of them would fit right into that Liverpool style of play

Salah is not much of addition during Ramadan. Barely got a touch last night. As much of a donkey as Nunez is, he would have had more energy to put himself about for the full game.

Looking at all the big scoring chances PSG missed over two legs they probably have a few that would fit in and be like for like replacements for Nunez.

I'd take a Nunez over some of the donkeys at Utd, at least he tries, he's like a lesser Andy Cole, he defo needed a few chances to score, thankfully at Utd he had plenty of chances

He was bought to score goals. 34 goals in 41 games in his last season with Benfica.

Liverpool create lots of chances for their forwards Nunez has scored 7 goals in 39 appearances this season.

Manchester United have a few forwards that tries however the opposite to Liverpool as they don't create lots of chances for their forwards.

People got too carried away with his ability to score goals in a Farmer's League.

Or 7 goals and 6 assists from 12 starts this season. And that doesn't factor in the space created for the likes of Salah and Diaz to work their magic. Definitely working as they're doing OK this year

If he was that good he would have started more than 12 games. Guy has been a bust tbh. May well work out for him somewhere else but if Liverpool could get some cash back, I reckon they'd take it.

Creating chaos and making space for the better players.
That really is the last resort for a bad player.

I can spot bluffing in any sport.
Nunez is the equivalent of the mullocker hurling forward who 'busts up the play'.
