Hard one to stomach. We definitely played much better today but we need to sort out the defending for goals. The equalising goal was the real killer.

Wouldn't be too worried.

Derry had 4 or 5 clear cut goal chance but didn't take them.

Substitutions certainly didn't help the defence but good to see a few new lads gettinga a chance. Had enough goal chances to be outa sight. Murray again failed to impress when he came on. McNichol better than Lynch out the field,  didn't have a chance for any of Kerry goals.

Lynch better off the tee and a better shot stopper. Wouldn't say there is much between them out the field. Lynch is good through the hands and not a bad kick passer. Don't mean to be too hard on mcnicholl I thought he was good apart from one of the last goals. Not many could step into a county game like that in goals having never played it before.

Derry be kicking themselves after that one. Five goals is harsh reading on McNicholl. Think he's worth sticking with.

Thought Ethan Doherty was brilliant.

There was a few subs made for the sake of making a sub and a few of the young lads coming on aren't at the level required yet. In fairness there's a couple of starters not good enough either. Think we'll get relegated

Wildweasel74

McNicholl way better out the field as he always natural outfield player. 4 of the goals were defenders fault. But there def a issue with his kickouts. No variation and not a Derry man making a move on any of his kickouts.

Playing with Gilmore, Mark Doc and Baker will eventually catch up with you. Directly at fault with basic errors for 3-3.
Gilmore continuously holds the ball to long and gets himself in a fluster. We had more than enough scoring opportunities went hunting goals and ended up with nothing. Cassidy, Mc Carron, Murphy, Murray and Toner from play really need to start shouldering some of the weight when getting scores.
Unfortunately due to the quality of players injured we are start at least 4/5 back up players and the subs coming on an 3rd choice for many positions.

Based on what? he's lost out the pitch, his sole objective is to occupy space while Mc Nicholl was trying to get on the ball and go forward.

I'd definitely be keen to give McNicholl a run of games. Lunch super as a back up or a penalty shootout

I take it you didn't get a chance to see the game today?

Was at it what do you think is wrong?

1 game the day doesn't cut it, as Tyrone game showed last week. They need to be doing it on a regular basis
