Dungannon strong favourites tag justified so far here in Augher. Lorcan McGarrity only forward for Carmen to score from play in first half. Can't blame management even if we end up beat by 10. Forced to start one of our clubs reserve players today with others missing through injury/suspension and so on, At least 4 players are playing out of position to make up for being short. Lots missing especially our regular forwards such as Danny Fullerton, Ciaran Daly, Aidan Fullerton, Martin Penrose. Hopefully Sean Loughran, Jonathan Munroe and lots of others can make it back for championship next season.

Today's under strength Carmen team were always going to be up against it today here in Augher. Fair play to the team and management for their effort in second half especially and all year. A lot to be positive about looking back on previous seasons despite being short today. Made a few changes at half time. Must have had some team talk as things changed dramatically in 3rd quarter. The players came out all guns blazing. Game just got away after a mistake heading into the final quarter but these things happen I guess. Great to see a couple of younger lads subbed on in 2nd half to get experience as well. Young Woods looked comfortable  on the ball & Grogan came on and contributed to the score line. Just came up short today against a hungry full-strength Dungannon side.

Moonshine

Under strength apart from loughran munroe and Allison who is to come back.

Another Year & Another 0 trophies for such a "big club" or so they like to  think they are 😂

That carmen teams miles off winning the O'Neill Cup, probably time for their management to step away but then again who'd actually want to take that job.🤷🏻♂️

Top 4 team this last 5 years (very young team too, trophy in 2021). Carrickmore are the biggest club in Tyrone whether you like it or not 😂 Most O'Neill Cups...

Management have been very good since they came in so I hear. Big opportunity now to get men right for next season's championship fitness wise. Previous management responsible for worst ever championship performance vs Edendork in first round last year so plenty to be positive about. Big turnaround already in such a short space of time. Unlucky with injuries / absentees this year just. Give that management that are only in at least 2-3 years more years and the O'Neill Cup will be back home to the biggest club in Tyrone. It's even looking good for next year...

God14

20 years since Carrickmore won a Tyrone championship

It'll be a while yet before they do

A big reason why Tyrone clubs have such a poor record in Ulster club

Carmen1932 from one Carmen man to another..how much of an improvement have we made? We made the league final last year? Beat a poor dromore team and probably equaled our worst ever championship performance against killyclogher in the replay.. as managers decided to revert back to Everyman behind the ball. I don't think we're going anywhere. To many boys on that team getting chance after chance and not performing. The amount of lads that have walked away over the last 5/6 years because of this is our biggest problem as we don't have a panel anymore which is worrying.

Made the league final last year only because we got rid of old management (that got biggest ever buy in). The interim management was put in place for semi final vs Dromore. Before that league semi final game Dromore had already beaten us by about 15 points. We beat Dromore in the championship this year with half of the panel previous management had. So significant improvement in championship also when you compare it to the previous years worst ever beating vs Edendork in the first round. Give management and the young lads a chance, at least.

The reality is that we came up against a very good Killyclogher side and you can't give a on fire Mark Bradley any amount of space. Imagine we didn't. Big chance to get everyone back fit now too over their off season. I don't think you can blame the managers either for family-club politics that goes on in behind the scenes at a football club either. Huge effort needed to get everyone back from previous bias.

TyroneClubs

Carrickmore are a bit like United. Like to think they're the biggest club about when in reality they are both sh1t.
Realistically nobody cared about the leahue in end up, and a trophy would've just added gloss to another dire championship run.
A but like united winning fa cup last season - papered over the cracks

Except United have no hope and aren't the biggest club.. We haven't been the same animal as 20 years ago but nobody can deny that Carrickmore are the biggest club in Tyrone  GAA Club Football though - it's a fact whether you like it or not.

Edendork ain't that bad. 0-14 to 1-4 was the score that day.

Carmen1932

Edendork do not beat Carrickmore in a championship match. No forward scored from play. Goal was a penalty in first 3 minutes of the game. That and 4 points in a full 60+ minutes of football with a defender scoring our only 2 points from play was diabolical. Worst performance in our clubs entire history without a shadow of a doubt. The poorest of the poor. The worst of the worst. My parents have been following Carrickmore their whole lives and it was the first ever championship game were they left early. Says it all really...
