It's all a bit of craic. Only football at the end of the day. Next year looking exciting though with lots of personnel changes across a range of teams.

The amount of tyrone managers you lot have had you may as well call this the Tyrone thread  ;D
With the lack of esteem some Tyrone posters seem to have for their past AI winning managers Harte, Logan and Dooher it might be no surprise that some Tyrone ones choose to come to Derry.

Harte wouldn't be the most popular with many in Tyrone. I don't know anyone has a bad word on Brian Dooher or Feargal. The whole thing seemed to have gone away from them and was time for a change but held with "lack of esteem"?... quite the opposite.

Now come on the style of football and the whole setup in Tyrone in the last couple of years Tyrone supporters were  highly critical of.  The attendances at games last year and the number of players opting out of the panel would support that most Tyrone people were glad to see the back of them.

Harte took Tyrone to their most successful period ever, but the general viewpoint appears that he outstayed his welcome at a County who had zero All irelands when he took the job and three when he left.  His subsequent betrayal by going to the enemy wouldn't have helped that.  Reminds me a bit of how Wenger was viewed at Arsenal when he left( except he didn't go to Spurs after!)

Scorcher1

Have we heard of/expecting any new additions to the panel? Early days but has to have been someone watching the championship.

You're not wrong about Brian and Feargal. It had gone totally pear shaped. But people have huge respect for them in Tyrone for what they've done as players and managers (in 2021) and U21 AI success.
Every management has its day and unfortunately after 2021 it was all downhill.
Harte however, for number of reasons, is not popular with many Tyrone people.

I was referring specifically to their management of the senior team since the AI win, in which they like Harte in his later years appeared to face heavy criticism.

Hasn't that man already a suspension impending? Vale be wise to cut ties if he's going to behave like that

And likely won't get enough of a suspension. Fair to say he had a big hand in starting the trouble at Owenbeg at the replay that led to the row, presumably under suspension after his red card the previous week.

Lets be honest Tyrone has some strange individuals. Should be statue erected of Mickey Harte and the stand in Omagh named after him.  Without him Tyrone could still be stuck on zero Senior All Irelands won, even the last All Ireland won it was done the team/panel that Mickey built.

You might be better to sit this one out, the abuse All Ireland captain and ultimatly manager McGeeney took in Armagh. Even a plane to tow a banner hired to abuse him  ???
