Quote from: Newbridge Exile on October 29, 2024, 01:16:33 PMJust after seeing one of underage coaches put up a post that 5years ago today we were beat in an under 16 B final and off that team 7 started against Glen with another 4 on  the subs. That's some yield from an underage team

That post was brilliant - Fair play, serious going!

Not sure why that lad is giving out.

Good win for the 'Bridge but Glen would have been very strong favourites for this game.

That fella has lost the plot, just read through his tweets.
You're famous now!

They're a v sensitive bunch, very little wrong with going into a county final as big underdogs and very few giving them a chance (zero to do with a lack of respect) , every other club in the county outside of Glen would have loved to have been in Newbridge's shoes yesterday morning.
Again, delighted to see them win yesterday.

Kevin Brady a possibility for the Derry job? He's done really well at the convent, he already knows a lot of the players and has their respect. Along with hetherington they've done a great job with newbridge.

Heard a couple days ago PaddyB, hearing tonight him and Ronan Devlin.

Time will tell. Sure one of us has to be right some day 🤣

Nathan just wondering if I could get a shout out also. Played against big Roger in underage and suddenly feel very old

Here we go 4 in a....

All conquering Glen side couldn't manage the 4.

They're levels to this game.

Mine was only a suggestion, not something i'd heard. Maybe Brady would be in on that ticket also as he works along with Devlin. We should all be put out of our misery soon.

Still think its Lacey. Bradley there too. The fact it's Halloween and we the only county with no manager, is long by, a poor showing.

Champion The Wonder Horse

Crozier and Moran with a high profile outsider is the latest I've heard.

Well done to the bridge. Hopefully their exile is enjoying things; comes across as a good guy.

Thanks Champion it's been an amazing couple of days , I'm so proud of the way that young team performed on Sunday especially when Glen looked as if they were going to kick on in the last 10 minutes

GTP

Congratulations Newbridge. Glen didn't look anywhere near dominant this year and you took them out when the chance game along and it mattered most.
Out of curiosity who beat the under 16B team in the final mentioned and who played and won in the A final?

Glenullin beat us in the B final as to A final I am nearly sure it was Magherafelt who beat Lavey in that final

It'd be interesting to see who has won the U14, U16 and U17/18 underage championship titles in Derry this past 30 years.

I'd say Magherafelt would be up there with a huge majority of them?
