A person is 20 times more likely to die from covid if they haven't been vaccinated. That makes the vaccine extremely successful. Unfortunately people still got covid but the vaccine largely prevented serious illness. Lots of people are still getting covid and suffering long term effects. It's still way, way safer to be vaccinated than to risk an illness which could be life changing or even lead to death.

90% of people here in NYC got at least one dose. I'd expect there should be bodies on every corner.

If someone got their  double Covid jabs  back in say, 2021, but none since.... is there any sort of  protection there in their system now, if  they contracted  covid again?

They lose effectiveness over time. Viruses evolve, hence annual flu shots and repeated cold infections, and covid vaccine boosters. I think the loss of effectiveness occurs more quickly in terms of getting infected - the effectiveness against getting severe disease or dying lasts longer. At least it was than way in stuff I read as of last year. No idea on last winter's booster.

Cancer was/is still 1 out 2 people get it, same level before covid and same after.

People getting older and fatter

People smoking and vaping now more than ever, un trialled (over time) product

Ultra processed foods more available and accessible than fresh

More pollution

Less GP's and bigger population means less early diagnosis


All factors towards rises in death and a continued upward trend.

But I'd put covid vaccine deaths way down on this list of annualised deaths across the board

I'd look at the companies that are making and marketing ultra processed foods as murders and scammers

Apparently, the vaccine, a subset of Covid, is more dangerous than the real thing. This is the "science" spouted by some people.
