Quote from: ShutterinbyDayGAAbyNight on October 15, 2026, 11:58:23 AMThe 3A promotion playoffs are abit of a joke aren't they? Take Augher as an example. They played their last game on the 15th of August and will play the winner of Castlederg V Urney on a future date. By the time that game is played it will have been over 70 days from their last game.

14 league games crammed into a 10 week period and then 11+ weeks untill the play off game.
A farce.

I thought Errigal got the rub of quite a few decisions over the hour, particularly when it came or how he applied the over carrying and advantage rules. Saying that, Richie very lucky not to get black carded second half and the Brennan challenge on O'Sullivan was a borderline red.
Errigal the letter side overall and some of their young lads really stood up.
Very impressed with young Aodhán Quinn, MOTM for me, think he got 3 from play from WHB.

Quote from: Tonys on September 06, 2026, 07:08:34 PMGalbally have launched an appeal on their loss. Not to be surprised from a cowardly club trying to scrape back some dignity. Any other club would take thier medicine. Galbally had 3/4 chances to put that game out of reach. Embarrassing going to the CCC

Just saw that. What happened that they're annoyed about?
Think the point that was taken off them because a Galbally player tripped up a Trillick player in the build up that the ref didn't see at first but the linesman called it back

I can understand their frustration at the call, but not sure that any appeal would really stand up. If we start allowing appeals on wrong refereeing decisions we are on a slippery slope.

Quote from: trueblue1234 on August 23, 2026, 06:32:50 PMBit of a smash and grab there!! Not at the races for large parts of the game. That defence is going to be a nightmare this year.
Thought Liverpool were static and slow in the most. Not a great sign, but early days.

I thought it was more the midfield that was the issue on those breaks (not saying Kerkez and Frimpong were great). Massive holes for Newcastle to run through unchallenged. But it doesn't appear to be a priority in the transfer market.

Blessed to get an undeserved point. I thought Koumas and, especially Munoz, made a difference when they came on. Trying to cram Rio onto right wing is going to take a lot of work. He should be left on the other wing where he can make a difference.

The whole midfield getting caught ahead of the ball was the issue for both goals not really the defence ( although kerkez did looking like he was running in treacle)
Bright spots were Jaquet who looked good again and Munoz looked lively off the bench.
The full backs and the lack of balance in midfield look a real worry, not to mention another stinker from Isak who has yet to play well in a Liverpool shirt.

Quote from: tyroneman4 on August 22, 2026, 04:02:00 PMDo we think thirds football teams should be abolished , I know my own club have a thirds team but just over all it's horrible standard
There is probably a place for them for bigger clubs, but they have no errand playing in the junior championship.
There should be a separate 3rds league.

Quote from: 2ndstringsub on August 17, 2026, 08:33:17 AMWith division 2 league all but wrapped up yesterday a few things are worth mentioning.

1st of all well done to Niamh and Owen on going more or less undefeated until the devils nectar got involved yesterday. By all accounts they have got themselves playing good football and everyone paddling the same canoe to move them forward.

Fines need to be upped for teams not fielding both in reserves and particularly seniors. How the Moy could with a straight face give a walkover to Cookstown yesterday is nothing short of a disgrace. I don't care if it was a wedding a stag etc. There would have been 15 men left somewhere in the Moy to take that tanking and give Cookstown a game.

Playoffs must go back to previous setup. The amount of points seemingly gifted towards the latter stages of the league is a joke. The danger is obviously needed at the top and bottom of the league to ensure that everyone has something to play for even if it is just dragging your neighbours/rivals down with you.

Championship draws after league has finished. Seeded draw - top 8 plays bottom 8. Rewarded for finishing the league strong to ensure an 'easier' first round match.

Cant argue against that.
the current system needs to change anyway

f**k.  :'(

Saw him at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park this past April.

Brilliant gig and performer.

RIP.
A really sad one.
I have probably seen him live more than any other performer. His Christmas gig for the homeless in vicar Street became an annual tradition.
RIP Glenn

Quote from: bennydorano on June 27, 2026, 09:32:58 PMMOR yapping about the Ref a couple of times to date, safer holding his tongue on that one. Not the Ref's fault his umpire made a howler. Tyrone did just fine outa the ref imo.

What did they do fine on? Ref incorrectly bringing up a kerry free for a 2 pointer, ref not bringing up a free for tyrone for a 2 pointer. Linesman incorrectly calling conn catch on side line as being out.

Paudie pulling down Teague and being allowed to play on.

Really struggling to see where tyrone done well out of the ref, umpire or linesman.
100% on all those.
Kerry the better team but got the rib of the green with decisions today.

Dutton Ranch is ok, not amazing.

Couple of episode into the latest series of Clarkson's farm - its still really good.
Watched season 1 of an apple series, Your Friends and Neighbors. Thought it was really good.
The first series of your friends and neighbours is really good. Latest episode of the new series has completely jumped the shark.

Quote from: GAAtrojan on October 26, 2025, 05:38:00 PMMark Loughran absolutely awful. Tyrone county board a joke for this appointment. Fair play to loughmacrory

Couldn't agree more, kept Trillick in the match for most part. Game would have been out of sight only for him

Leaned heavily to Lough in the closing stages

Not sure he did. Only wrong decision thought he made was when there was a foul given for a clean tackle but McCullagh missed the free anyway.

Neutral here but thought ref was grand. Trillick did alot of needless fouls towards the end trying to win frees for themselves
I thought Mark did a good job. There will always be a couple of decisions here or there in any game that teams can complain about but I think he can be very happy with his performance overall.

Just couldn't get into then, couldn't get the popularity.
I've never really gotten the Radiohead comparisons

Quote from: Blowitupref on August 06, 2025, 01:48:04 PMSandbox games at the weekend apparently had 4 point goals, restricted hand pass rule.  Once you crossed the half way line you couldn't go back and some adjustment to the kick outs and the hooter.

All sounds top heavy on the offensive side of things instead of looking to strike a balance between defence and attack.

I think this would be my major gripe with the new rules as a whole (even though i think they have been a net positive)
