Quote from: Rossfan on March 30, 2026, 02:20:37 PMSurely Laverty is doing as well as he can with the talent available.

Of course he has.

Topped the Division 3 table and won the final in Croke Park.

Last year relegated on 6 points the one point head to head loss v Louth proved costly.

In the championship were competitive against Donegal in Ulster, reached the last 12 of the championship and competitive against Galway.

In three short years spot the difference with Donegal with and without Jim McGuinness.

Be interesting to see how long this 2nd term will last.  After he's gone do Donegal have anyone to fill his shoes?

I think Donegal are going to beat Kerry on Sunday. Paudie Clifford did the damage in last years final but he's missing.

Yeah Brian knows his stuff  ;)

Improvement on turnovers which are key in today's games under these rules. A big impact off the bench especially Conlon.

Going by the scores Donegal have conceded in their last two games 2-20 v Roscommon and 3-15 v Monaghan you would have to wonder how much Kerry will score on Sunday.

Then again Kerry apart from the Mayo game haven't been overly great.  Lucky to win against Roscommon, lost to Donegal, just did enough against Dublin in a poor quality game and drew with Galway and Armagh.

Jim McGuinness and his players will go strong Donegal don't have many National titles to their name. Would still expect Jack O'Connor to keep his record of winning the league and then going on to win the All-Ireland going.

Mayo 8 changes and Roscommon 9 changes for a game of shadow boxing in Machale park tomorrow.  If Kerry slip up one of Roscommon or Mayo will fall into the final by default

Carrick and his players will be left frustrated to not get the three points when in a winning position twice but on the balance of play a draw probably a fair result. Two draws with Bournemouth this season 6-6 on AGG.

I suppose holding on to draw with ten men for the last 22 minutes of action was improvement on losing the last away match against ten men.

Seen them live for the first time during Forestfest last year, headliners on the Saturday night. Still sounding good.  The mystery on the disappearance of former member Richey Edwards got a mention.

A Donegal change before tonight's game "20 Eoghan Scott for 5 Finnbarr Roarty. No 5 is now Jamie Gavigan"

Jim McGuinness decision?

Could we have a scenario whereby word gets through in Salthill that Kerry are winning comfortably up in Armagh and then Galway and Dublin play keep ball and play out a draw relegating Armagh.

Comfortable win and important three points earned. Casemiro in his best scoring season before he departs, too late to keep him on for another year? Outstanding pass by Bruno on the 2nd goal and finish by Cuhna. Sesko keeps his good scoring run going.

In a good position to secure Champions league football now but still plenty of tough games to overcome yet.
