Ha. 2 games? Don't we have to win the first one? :D

Extremely disappointed that the U21s were played the whole game. They have a huge game coming up and the way tackles were flying around at the end, could easily have picked up injuries.

Some of our decision making was terrible - taking the ball into contact (Karl! Sort it out) and getting pinned at the sideline. If Mayo had a left footed free-taker or had the eyes in, we would have been beaten comfortably.

Great crowd at it and lovely weather.

Compare how the Donegal U21s played almost the full game (Ryan McHugh played the full game and Hugh McFadden only "came off"  because he was black-carded around the 50 minute mark) while in the Tyrone game, they played Curran in goals as opposed to Fox, when Morgan wasn't available.

Nearly as daft as both McHugh and McFadden playing the complete U21 game on Wednesday in a game that was won by 13 points.

Really have to wonder about the quality of the management in Donegal with that sort of carry-on.

Well, I suppose the quality of the management is probably better judged by the fact that the lads are in the Ulster final, but for sure it's hard to see how Maxi would be happy with this.

I'd love to hear the logic of leaving 2 lads who were solid odds to play in the game today and have already played a serious chunk of the league in a game that was won by 13 points, especially with an Ulster final only a week away.

It's very hard to see that as anything but poor management.

get a grip they are both young fellas and should be mad for ball and full of legs

its not prima donna soccer players you are on about, i would see a problem if they didnt want to play

pathetic attack on a manager who has taken his side to an ulster final and i aint a clubmen of his or do i know him

wind your neck in and appreciate the commitment these players give

There was plenty of sh1te games years ago as well, people are looking through rose tinted glasses

There is nothing wrong with the GAA in the main, apart from the standard of referees which is very poor. Kerry got in to last years final at the expense of Mayo due to some poor decisions

Leave the game alone and it will keep evolving and take different paths in the process,  the main reason that the blanket/mass defence is highly prized is because teams who play against this system dont use fast quick ball in to the forwards, kicked from 40-50 yards which wont allow a defence to set up

Was at the Tyrone Donegal match at the weekend and the only way to describe Tyrone's attacking plan was laboured and lacking speed
Sideways across the pitch which played in to Donegals hand

QUICK FAST LONG BALLS IN TO SPACE

Galway always played a beautiful brand of football but they once had the players to carry this out
The whole point of the blanket defence is that there is no space! You look up and see 20+ players inside the 45m line and there is no space to hit. The only real way as pointed out previously is to go almost like for like and hope to win as you have better forwards.

Mate at some stage within the game the team operating the blanket has to attack and if turned over  there is an abundance of space to attack

Might be unrelated to any rows or fights but it was noticeable that Sean Fox was the goalkeeper used when Morgan got injured not Mickey O'Neill. Is O'Neill injured or has he left the panel?

heard on the sidelines he was unavailable,  he is highly rated O Neill  and many within Tyrone would prefer him over the attention seeker who currently masks as a goalkeeper, he is viewed as a soccer wannabe

Chatting to a few lads around omagh who are in the loop, they reckon that they were a few fights at training which led to some of the players leaving

Also that the fallout has caused a lot of friction within the camp

Was at the game and it was boys v men, reminded me of when Donegal played Armagh many moons ago and got regularly put to the sword
Tyrone are finished in the context of competing for SAM and seem to be on a slippery slope, absolutely no fight in their team and a total lack of character.
On the sidelines it was evident that the game was over within 15 mins as Donegal were in total control but Tyrone when they went behind continued to use 1-2 players as sweepers instead of going for scores to close the gap,  damage limitation ????

Was Mickey setting up Donegal for a early exit in May or is it a case that the rumours of rows and fighting at Tyrone training are true and that team spirit is at an all time low and players arent 110% behind the manager

IS THIS A JOKE ,  CAUSE  I AM LAUGHING MY ARSE OFF

The man is past it and wouldnt cap cows in to a bloody field

Grow up Paul and face facts your legs are gone which was the mainstay of your game and the referees arent pushovers any more

STILL  LAUGHING AT THIS  ,  glad that the osheas  had the common sense to call it a day on top, Galvin will need a running aid

horseshit

Get the right man to ref the game, the ref at the mayo match was a disgrace and should be ashamed of his performance or lack of

he was so obviously biased towards kerry, and  as a donegal man i hope the final isnt ruined by similiar poor biased whistles

That 8 million centre of excellence is looking like a real white elephant now, especially with their sponsors dumping them. There will be fierce pressure coming from (and on)  the CB to get success to keep the money men interested. They need to do something fast. Mickey Harte's days are surely numbered.

Mike,  Hunky Dory dont want to sponsor them cause Mickey wont talk to RTE

Hunky Dory have a new flavour out now    SOUR GRAPES

Seriously the white elephant is a joke , have been told that professional soccer clubs dont have as big a set up as this

Money should have been spent on upgrading the dump that is Healy Park, a rubbish county ground

Tyrone need a new crisp start to 2015 and concentrate on ladies football , cause the slide is on !!!!!!!!!!!!

No disrespect to Donegal, they just about dererved the win yesterday, but I can't see them getting within 10 points of Dublin.Struggling to beat Monaghan and a relevantly inexperienced Armagh team missing its captain doesn't augur well

We did NOT struggle to beat Monaghan.

But yeah, we are unlikely to beat Dublin.

We beat Monaghan easily with the handbrake on FEARON , your not exactly a great reader of a game

Armagh were fantastic in the first 20 minutes and should have built up a bigger lead, in saying that i reckon the game last week had Armagh up to speed

Donegal lorded the 20 minutes after half time,  kicked 15 wides and still won which was impressive and bodes well

Dublin look to be crowned already but we will give them a rattle!!!

Well done to Armagh, have a lot of character and have mimicked Donegals style and will go well next year, however a lot of the team is 31, 32 and they still need to rebuild

Donegal still a work in progress but need to sharpen up for the Dubs

Of the outfield players for Armagh yesterday only Moriarity, Mallon and Kernan are the wrong side of thirty. Moriarity is no longer a regular but he and the other two, as well as McKeever have a couple of years left in them. I do not think the experience this year can be under estimated in bringing others on.

On the matter of the referee. I have said before on other threads that I am not his biggest fan. At Croker yesterday we could hear the toss between Clarke and Murphy. After it McQuillan say 'good luck lads, good luck Michael'. I assume I am going deaf and he said good luck Jamie as well?

Well good luck throw ball, great improvement from last year when Cavan beat you  and hope we have more tussles in the years to come

Donegal by 5 points, Armagh are doing well but nowhere near the class of the early noughties

CLASS will prevail  ;)

The Ref  was a joke gave all the 50-50 calls to Mayo,

but the rest of ireland dont need to worry , Mayo going nowhere, lack inside forwards and the full back line very dodgy

No sam in this team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
