if it is one or two players going to oxygen or holidays etc, play away at the games, unless it is championship, where as you say anyone with ambition will put c'ship first.

However, a proper 2 week close season would help clubs, players etc plan holidays.

People have to have lives as well.  I suppose it is up to the players to inform their managers well in advance and request a fixture change in the same way we do for weddings etc.

Players train from early January and are entitled to have a break in the summer for Oxygen, holiday etc.

Would Donal Murtagh be in the running for the Armagh job?  Did he ever play for Armagh, or just Cross.

Aye club football and hurling schedules are nothing short of a disgrace.

I think all competitions should be straight knock out, club and county.  There are too many games to manage.

The line ball incident was nothing short of a disgrace.

Mayo training and preparing all year for a decision like this to influence the game.  Yes, Meath played btilliant in the last quarter, but the penalty was a major turning point in the game.  That linesman has to be held accountable.

If a player strikes he gets sent off, if a players plays poorly he gets taken off, if a manager is not producing the goods he gets the sack.

Same should be of the officials.

Will the likes of Ciaran Gourley / Ciaran McBride take on the minors or U21s, they have been successful at schools level?
