Have started Magnifica 70, a Brazilian drama available on All 4 (Walter presents). 2 episodes in and it's very good, has some dynamite reviews.

Also has a clinker opening tune https://youtu.be/BliqScxpNRs
Only one episode left of this and I'm not sure if it's brilliant or shit☺It's been enjoyable but it's hard to nail down. Think I'm missing subtle nuances of the Brazilian TV experience, very soap opera (y) / Kitschy at times, but maybe it's just bad acting and production values.

Still loving the opening tune.

Anyone seen the new MacGyver? As bad as predicted?

Brutal.
I loved the original when I was a young fella.

When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Has there ever been a remake that matched up to the original?

Anyone tried the Colombian series about Pablo that's on Netflix? I watched the 1st episode and it seems very well made. It covers his life in much more detail but is 73 episodes long.. that's a lot of Spanish subtitles...

The Night Of has slowed down a little. Not really as good as how it started it off. Still a good show though and can't wait to find out what happens next week.

Have 2 episodes left to watch..Did it get another season or is it wrapped up in this one?

Don't really get the love for Narcos.  It's grand, but that's about it.

Quarry  new 9 part series has started. I've watched the first two episodes. Set in 1972 somewhere in Hicksville about a demobbed soldier from Vietnam  gradually being 'persuaded' into becoming a hitman by Peter Mullan. Apart from cliches and belief being stretched this way and that way and the main character painfully trudging through mud of his own making, it's got something, probably due to atmosphere from the era. The music is top class, you get scenes set in a lunchtime cafe and there just happens to be a bunch of top class musicians playing the blues in a corner space, blues with the crisp clear sound of a needle dropping onto clean vinyl.

100%.

Just started watching it, top notch.

Peter Mullan is good but for me the stand out character is Mullans off sider , the gay lad, a lunatic!

I'm always years behind but watched Narcos before you. Stick that up yer hole.
Great viewing.

Has anyone ever seen The Sopranos? Is it worth watching?

The greatest TV show ever made. Still pine for it and compare it to everything else . My opinion anyway.

I've read good things about it on another forum, it is daunting the length of it though..
