More goals he's scored in this World Cup now than he scored in his first 3 World cups according to RTE.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

gallsman

Only fair that he got that one after Alvarez the bastard robbed him of a beautiful assist.

Puckoon

Hungriest player in the box for that 2nd one. Massive determination at that age.

Milltown Row2

Unreal, great how he just turns up when on the ball, he meanders around uninterested, then bam!

would teams not just man mark the man now?
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

The Ciaran Kilkenny of Argentina. Sky Blues as well

Messi. What more can you say

Unless Jordan win their game tonight Argentina have qualified as group winners. In that circumstance will Argentina rest Messi for the next game?

That will be an explosive game against Uruguay if it happens lol

befair

Amazing performance again; his ability to pick out the right pass is outstanding, Maybe the better teams will be able to man-mark him more effectively, and essentially they are defending with ten men only.

Some potential tasty last 16 games

Main Street

I came across a stat that Ronaldo covered about 7.5 km in the first game, some 200m more than Messi. I saw Messi running, moving at pace, involved in the game but I didn't notice Ronaldo move more than 5 or 10m on a rare occasion, at times he reminded me of his statue but with moving arms. Could those stats be spoofed?

SouthOfThe Bann

Listening to Jon Champion on ITV.

Proper old school commentator didn't realise he was still going. Very nostalgic.
