I imagine if Cillian or Andy had have been confident in the emergence of Kobe and Beirne, it wouldn't have happened.

I suppose it was a free hit. You'd think someone of his experience is not lost in training and the dugout.

King Con hasnt performed a proper flat out sprint in last few games.

Cillian maybe could offer something, but it is some ask at this stage. He is super accurate so who knows

Or if its the last kick of the game in an AIF, with your team 2 behind, and you have a 21 yard free and you want to take the point.

2nd Last All-Ireland semi-final Mayo played in (6 years ago against Tipperary) Cillian O'Connor scored 4-9 (6fs)

Cillian and Andy are the best of pals and always going to rejoin the panel once Andy asked him to return.

Patrick Durcan, Stephen Coen, Conor Loftus, Matthew Ruane; Ryan O'Donoghue, Diarmuid O'Connor; Tommy Conroy, Aidan O'Shea,Jordan Flynn are others that played then and still around.

Funny enough points scored against Tipp 5 years ago are totally irrelevant. Especially after shitting the bed against Tyrone.

Was it not 6 years ago they bet Tipp?

It was, mixed up the two  easy done in what was forgettable covid years. December 2020 semi-final v Tipperary and August 2021 semi-final v Dublin.

SouthOfThe Bann

Can see a repeat of the Donegal v Meath Semi this weekend.

Louth will be coming into this game full of hope but I can't see them being able to cope with Mayo's forwards.

Mayo by 10-12.

As a neutral watching ideally you want to see two good competitive semi-finals won by a point or two.

You could well be right with Louth folding like Meath last year.

I'm not totally convinced on Dublin either and Kerry was more vulnerable with the schedule against Tyrone than they will be for this game.

Don't see this Mayo team being at the level Donegal where last year going into semi final.  If Cork had of brought their shooting boots Mayo would have been gone, the standard in that game was well below any of the other quarter finals imo.  The method of victories in the Dublin, Armagh and Monaghan games should give Louth serious confidence.
