The horseshoe theory bullshit.

The far left aren't pro Russia. They are opposed to helping Ukraine. It's schoolboy stuff, but not the same thing

I don't buy that. It's misty-eyed Cold War nostalgia that has required the creation of a narrative that ranges from "understanding" the Russian invasion to outright supporting it.

If a person is opposed to helping Ukraine, they are by proxy supportive of Russia. That is easy to reason, as the question remains, what if help to Ukraine is cut off?

But the right aren't proxy supporters. They are bought and paid for supporters

Agreed. Which is why I'd like to know what the far left's excuse is. I can only assume it's an ideological unwillingness to "side" with America.

Amichai Chikli, the Israeli Minister for Diaspora Affairs, publicly states, without embarrassment, shame, or fear: "We have created in Europe an unprecedented system of alliances with the most radical conservative right." He names names and surnames. He claims them. He takes responsibility for them. Santiago Abascal, leader of Vox in Spain—"the most Zionist voice there is." Jordan Bardella and Marine Le Pen (antisemitic family) in France—"a true closeness." And he adds, with pride: they are leading in all the polls in Franciaz What he doesn't say is how Israel managed to infiltrate and the criminal methods used to buy or blackmail European politicians, and to manipulate elections in the West: there are millions of euros injected into election campaigns. "Journalists" bought and indoctrinated, think tanks created to spread pro-Israel propaganda, smear campaigns against political adversaries and against journalists who tell the truth, threats, pressures, blackmail. The method is well-oiled: a country is identified, compliant leaders are pinpointed, they are financed, supported, pushed into power. Once elected, they serve the Israeli agenda and sell out national sovereignty. Examples of electoral interference: Slovenia, Colombia, and USA Soon they will strike France and Italy. French, Spanish, and European voters continue to vote for those who, once elected, will kneel before Israel. This is interference. It is "the sovereignist and nationalist right that sells national sovereignty for power... Israeli ministers boast of having sabotaged democracies... To ensure impunity and support for the ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing in Palestine. When you slip your ballot into the urn, ask yourself whether your vote will go to leaders who have already sworn loyalty to the Italian Constitution or to Israel.

Zelensky's former spokesperson Yulia Mendel will speak at an AfD event in the European Parliament on Sep 16. She will discuss "the war in Ukraine" there by spreading Russian narratives, just as she did in her interview with Tucker Carlson.

Her favorite claims so far:

- Zelenskyy is a dictator and an obstacle to peace
- Ukraine is deeply corrupt and undemocratic
- Kyiv prolongs the war
- Ukraine should trade territory for peace
- Zelenskyy is a drug addict

She also insisted that Zelenskyy had agreed to give up Donbas in 2022 and that only Boris Johnson persuaded him to change his mind.

While Zelenskyy has plenty of flaws – his handling of domestic issues is terrible, and his inner circle is corrupt – Mendel is working directly for Russia.

Yes, the Irish far-left detest 'Imperialism' when it's American, but do all sorts of gymnastics to forgive Russian imperialism.

I'd say that's a very small portion of the "far left" as you call them. Most people would say Russia and America are total pricks.

But that shouldn't obscure the fact that America are not in the wrong in this case and Russia are totally wrong.

What i've heard is that the USA is currently giving Ukraine intel on locations which Ukraine can use to attack targets with more efficiency. Which might explain why Zelensky doesn't tell the likes of Jared Kushner to gtf but has to pretend  smiles.

Sinn Fein and Ukraine is a paradox, on one hand SF condemns the invasion and professes ultra strong support for Ukraine. In reality in the Euro parliament  SF votes against every item on the agenda positive to Ukraine, whether it be humanitarian or military. Their reason being that even humanitarian aid prolongs the war and that it's a bad thing to support Ukraine in any aspect in their resistance to the Russian invasion. Not just Russia but SF also votes against any proposed sanctions being put against that great stalwart of humanity,  Belarus.  Digging a bit deeper, any SF spokesperson talking about the Ukraine 'issue' cannot help themselves from blaming NATO for starting the invasion and that Russia has legitimate concerns causing them to invade.

Sinn Fein professes that they want an end to the war but will not support in any shape or form any morsel of aid, humanitarian or military, that might help Ukraine to defend their autonomy, their nationhood, their culture, their right to exist.
Why is this? as some of us know,  SF the workers party was financed to the hilt by the Kremlin, no coincidence that the Workers Party faded with the demise of the USSR. Yes Eamon was absolutely right for once. Somehow SF in its current form is compromised in order to support the Kremlin. In the least as it stands now, SF are ignominious and have dragged Irish republican ideology to the gutter.

Yes, there is a still of regard for the old Soviet Union.
They see Russia as a bulwark against Capitalism and (Western) Imperialism.

There a good chunk of people on social media who are very 'Paddystinian', yet also Russian backers vs. Ukraine.

Hmmm, you're wrong though.

Heads like Ewan MacKenna, Chay Bowes, Paddy Cosgrave, Jim Fitzpatrick, Liam Cunningham, Daniel Kneecap Lambert, Mick Wallace, Clare Daly, Paul Murphy, Richard Boyd Barrett, Catherine Connolly...basically all PBP headbangers are all theatrically pro-Palestinian, yet either openly support Russia, or are at the very least hostile to the idea of Ukraine defending itself from obliteration.
