He looks in great shape. Fingers crossed for tonight.

Yeah - hopefully he hasn't peaked too soon. Really hope he can do it.

Great run from Adeleke. I don't think she will be quick enough in the 200 to medal as Hunt, Asher-Smith etc have a bit more but hopefully an outside chance of a bronze. Regardless I think it's a great boost for her to get into a european final given her form  and hopefully something she can build on and get back into 400 shape where she would be much stronger. She'd have made the final though I think it would have been a stretch to see Mawdsley in the final with the qualifying times and the fact she has never broken 50. Becker unfortunately just not strong enough at that level but did very well to get there. I don't think she has been in her best form this year either.

I didn't see what happened then with Werro. If she's fit she'll want out of traffic in the final as will be nervous of a repeat so will likely hammer it from the start. RTE commentators said she was going to do the exact opposite of what she did in the race today. Tbf if she'd have done what they said she'd not have fallen. Shows you how messy 800s can get.

Would love Adeleke to beat the British girls but it would require an all-time best. Hunt ran 22.08 in Tokyo last Sept. Adeleke is 22.34, a few years ago, but she had moved to 400m in between. She has the potential to beat Hunt, but this may be coming too soon.

Class. Perfect race.

Think he's owes the Croatian a beer. Got a perfect run.

OakLeaf

Unreal. So composed.

imtommygunn

Brilliant from both.

OakLeaf

Great run from Adeleke! Didn't start out as crazy as before and held enough in reserve to get up for Silver. What a 15 minutes for Ireland.

gallsman

She'd have had no expectation of that coming into the championships so that's an outstanding result and managed to keep it going through the line. Silver and a NR, can't complain. Hopefully coming back to form after two difficult years.

As an ex-runner myself, this was a great evening's entertainment. Well done Mark English and Rhasidat Adeleke.

Brilliant from English and Adeleke. On another note yer woman Hunt is a complete dose.
