Jeepers Creepers

Like him or loathe him, he's inherited a bad squad. Needs another 4 or 5 signings at least.

Bull. Great keeper. Supposedly best LB in league. 30 million centre half and Smalling who Utd fans claim class. World most expensive player in MF. Zlatan Rooney Martial Rashford the Armenian. That's not a poor squad. Jose needs a pair and drop Rooney the media darling who is upsetting the shape.

Surely this is the same line that has been trotted out since Moyes first took over?

Yip. A vicious circle.

Mourinho hasn't a clue what he's doing here. He's afraid to play his usual negative shite and is playing a hodge Podge formation which lacks balance and solidity. Rooney is the single biggest problem and for such a tough guy manager to be afraid to drop his is laughable.

This is a good squad. Maybe lacking a bit in central midfield though I think Herrera, Carrick and Schweinsteiger would definitely do a job in most games - certainly better than what has been happening.

There is no bedding in period at United. Take the decisions you're paid to Mr Special One or leave if the job is too big for you.

Taylor

Special one  ::)

He is now threatening to do at Utd what e done at Chelsea last seson.

Makeing Van Gall look like a tactical genius.

Long may it continue

Pep reckons Bournemouth are the best team City have faced this season. . .

Mourinho may be mindful of the backlash he received for dropping Sir Terry de Lionheart at Chelsea. Even the sections of the English media normally hostile to Utd will be up in arms when Rooney gets binned. Some swarthy Latin type telling us that the poster child for English football is not good enough.

Beyond that United have enough of a squad on paper to be challenging. There seems to be something lacking in terms of leadership or an on-field enforcer to drive the team on at crucial stages.

Reading btw the lines over the weekend, there are commercial interests at stake regarding dropping Rooney. Hard to believe. If true whoever constructed his contract deserves a medal!

United's midfield needs a pass master
Manchester United's midfield left in a mess by Wayne Rooney's deeper role
Paul Doyle at Vicarage Road

On paper, Manchester United should not be losing against Watford and that is no disrespect to Walter Mazzarri's side, who played with courage and conviction to win 3-1 at Vicarage Road. There is something not quite right in the United team at the moment, beyond the problems that Mourinho identified, which included an acknowledgement that they are too passive defensively at times and, in the case of some individuals, unable to take responsibility when results and performances are poor. The midfield seems to lack the right balance, with Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini imposing figures but not controlling and dictating games. There were times against Watford when Wayne Rooney was dropping deeper than the pair of them, for reasons only he knows. Should one of the deep-lying midfield roles not be filled by a more accomplished passer, such as Daley Blind, who lost his place at centre-half against Watford, Michael Carrick or Morgan Schneiderlin? Stuart James

The team is crying out for Michael Carrick to come back in and sit holding the mid field and allow Pogba more freedom.

Carrick reads the game better than Fellani and passes better, this is not to say the Fellani is to blame i think he is doing his best in a difficult situation.

Rooney is conpletely lost at the moment doesnt seem to know where to be or what to do.  His basic skills are desserting him with his obvious lack of confidence.

Still think when JM gets the balance and formation correct and gets a settled 11 the talent is there to put a serious run together.

Also people have slated Blind since he joined but look what happened to Bailly when Blind was dropped, he looked all over the shop.

Have to agree with this, Carrick makes Utd tick over and if his legs are gone surely Blind is a better option on the ball in Midfield than Fellaini.

The latest seems to be Mourinho is blaming Van Gaal for the recent poor run. Now Van Gaal didn't lose to city last season and Mourinho dedicated a win to him about a month ago. More typical cynical bullshit from this asshole. He should shut up and do his job. Take the tough decisions and get the team winning. Blaming Van Gaal - for fucks sake! Did he only notice this recently? How could a genius like him not solve it already?

This job is too big for him.
