Paul Grimley has finalised his management and backroom team for the coming season. Paul will be joined by Kieran McGeeney, Peter McDonnell and Martin McQuillan. Julie Davis will be the strength and conditioning coach and James Doyle will be speed coach. The Armagh County Board of the GAA wishes our management team and our players every success in the season ahead

Armagh for sam 2014

Geezer back in the Armagh fold, I think he will be a tremendous asset to us and is probably our next main man, McQuillan is an interesting addition, an Armagh man through and through and was something of a speed merchant himself back in the day.

Geezer should bring a lot of focus and intensity to the squad and I am delighted McDonnell is involved, all in all great news for the County.

Well done the Co Board and big Paul, for the first time in a long time I am excited and hopeful that we can be there at the business end of the season in the next couple of years, the talent is there. :)

Definite succession planning and credit to Grimley for that. No ego there.

He'll learn from Kildare and a year in the background will help is evolution. Will Armagh be switching Water suppliers now?

Great to see Kieran involved and back in the Armagh fold.  He's what the set up needs at this moment in time and should help to instill some of the basic ingredients that haven't been there for a few years now.  It's a shot in the arm for the supporters - hopefully the players will respond.
That's just, like your opinion man.

With Geezer back on board in the Orchard they might just become competitive again.  Could be a good mix.  Kildare under Geezer couldn't score for sh1t and Armagh under Grimely couldn't defend for Sh1t. Has Grimely abandoned his attacking football ethos in favour of the robotics. Was last year just a failed experiment.?

Hopefully this will lead to a virtuaous circle of increased expectation among the panel and the increased input that will fulfill that expectation.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B
