Quote from: BigGreenField on July 13, 2026, 12:01:21 PMIs their a tally anywhere if which team has been most effective with 2 pt efforts during the league, with what we've been watching st county level that would seem to be the difference maker.

I agree having a 2pt shooter is becoming a must the way the games are going

Having seen that game yesterday think there was 8 kicked between 2 people

£100 on Matties army means you'll lose £100 😜

Hard ground will hopefully suit fast paced playing styles (if this weather keeps up) equally a big chance of injuries as some
Pitches like concrete!

Should of had 4 teams relegated from Div 1 yesterday. Only way to keep the quality better.

Now we are left with at least 3 teams still participating in Div 1 that are dragging down the rest.  Need it sorted out but unfortunately only the teams who are safe will vote against current status. The majority will continue voting for this joke as it keeps them in Div 1

SaffronSports

I heard there was some motion in place to reduce the size of div 1 but has to wait a year as it came in too late for this season?

I wonder if the county manager has any influence on league structures - the current setup suits in some ways as playing without county players in a 16 team league makes it easier to pick up points.  With a smaller league there would likely be pushback from clubs to play county players in their league games (or at least have the choice).

No, he has zero influence on this.

Most clubs dont care too much about the league (unless every game is a dogfight for points to avoid relegation) and unless we go very deep into Tailteean Cup territory will have all their players back well ahead of cship. A progressive club will see having three or four players on county panel as an opportunity to develop three or four more players on their senior panel.

That's easy to say for a club that has strength in depth...others aren't in that position

Intermediate kicking off this weekend and saw on Hoganstand Owen Gallagher has left back for Galway. Im sure that put a big enough dent in Glenavys hopes. Hard to see past Endas based on league form but does a second team go up if they win both?

Gort vs St Teresas - Gort by 4
Davitts vs Aldergrove - Aldergrove by 2
Comgalls vs Endas - Endas by 8
Lisburn vs Glenavy - Lisburn by 1

Seen the odds there in toals quite strange some of them,

St endas 6/4
Super ts 6/1
Gort 6/1
Antrim town 7/1
Glenavy 7/1
Lisburn 7/1
Ahoghill 14/1
Davitts 25/1
Aldergrove 25/1
Aggies 33/1

St endas clear and obvious favs going off league

Aldergrove 25/1
Ahoghill 14/1

Must be an error

Had 2 small bets on both ew

Quote from: HTownlad on July 31, 2026, 09:24:20 PMI understand Aldergrove fancy themselves for championship and see it as a means to go back to Div 1

I think they'll be our biggest challengers

Having seen aldergrove numerous times over the last few years in league and championship, I don't think they'll be much of a challenge. IMO if Enda's don't win it this year, it will be a serious  shock with no one to  blame but themselves.

Odds got to be wrong there otherwise Aldergrove and Ahoghill worth a few quid

Are any of the SFC games being streamed?
