Gutted to lose a goalscorer of such obvious ability...but how many here  would pay that (£7.5m) given how much time he spends on the injured couch.

Im on the fence here myself. If you think he would stay fit and bang in 30 goals a season you'de pay it all day. But....

Will be interesting to see how his career goes in Turkey, thats for sure. Either we dodged a bullet or its another own goal of substantial proportions.

Key thing they let the automatic one year renewal option run out in June.

Sarrachi not coming back either.

F#^king gangsters running the club. Run them now.

Worst thing to happen was to win league last year. Emboldened Nicholson and Desmond no end. Short termism.

I'm not worried about this season now. Whatever happens, happens.  Need these clowns out.

Sarrachi has said his goodbyes on social media. What a complete joke. What reason could there be not to sign him for buttons. KT is the most injury prone man in with world so no way he is getting through this season. I wouldn't believe a word about Inheanacho either. They should have had him signed up at the end of the season before other clubs could get in his ear. When all these boys get sold are we even going to have enough players to put on the pitch ffs.
I have read a few rumours that Desmond is looking to sell his shares and wants to show the business is profitable or some shite. Can't believe rumours pages but would love if that whole crew just got the hell away from the place at this stage.

Could be something in that JS. Looking fairly certain now that the policy is to achieve an outgoing players salary threshold, cut expenses, lean up the outgoings and all that.

Thats good business if youre cutting dead waste..players who arnt adding value on the pitch.

The whole problem is the revenue inward and cost savings in not being re invested in quality players. To lose Ianacho and Saracchi when both wanted to stay will not be easily forgiven by supporters, especially if KT gets hurt or the goals dry up!

Somewhere along the line you need to speculate to accumulate, thats if you have any aspirations of winning a game in the CL knockouts, if you don't aspire to that then you'd behave exactly as they are, their total lack of ambition was plain for all to see ahead of the Bayern game 18 months ago, there's nothing interesting really happening, a very boring enterprise at the minute

Doesn't seem as if they even aspire to get to the champions league proper nevermind win a game in it

JimStynes

Not even exaggerating but there is about 15 players needed. How they getting that many through the door here in the next month. The league starts in 2 weeks ffs

Sh1t show but I suppose it's no real shock to any of us if we're all honest about it. Celtic will get 1 or 2 more in and then hedge their bets to see what way CL qualifer goes before a mad last day scrammble on deadline day and get another 1-2 panic buys that will turn out to be rank rotten. Rinse and repeat. Do you all remember the wee image floating about that shows Sevco's annual activities...win a few games and become favourites, lose a few and sack the manager etc etc. Well we could make our own one up for Celtic on players and transfers. I've said this for a while now and my gut is telling me our luck is about to run out and if and when it does it will be pure sobatage from the Board.

I heard last night that Celtic could have got Iheanacho for a further year on £30k a week as part of their deal on last year, they just had to take that option up but they let it run out on 30th June. He then has apparently got £47k a week from Bursapor in Turkey. If that turns out to be true then fair play to him but just look at how Celtic do things...The management team from last year were low balled and almost fell apart, Saracchi and Iheanacho were tap ins and both let go. There's more but I'm getting angry typing this and probably need to go do some work here...Argghhhhh.
I can swim a little but i can't fly an inch

This is a very good listen re: state of Celtic at the minute/this past few seasons.

A Celtic State of Mind Podcast.

Breaks things down in terms of what is happening. As an aside, a lot of fans are not impressed in O'Neill's role in all of this. A stooge for Desmond.

13 days until the league starts. One new signing and two of the best players likely gone before the first game. It can only be sabotage by Desmond. I just can't understand why? None of it makes sense.

Main Street

The ceo etc are not gangsters, they're low grade total spoofers, shite at their job, spread barefaced lies about Kelechi's salary and Saracchi's so called demands and then are so childishly naive to think their lies wouldn't be exposed.

Must check out what price the Blue Men are for the '26/27 league title.

Celric 4/5

Rangers 11/8

At least 10-15 years ago they'd pick up a bit of quality from league 1 and the championship, zero intent across the board at the minute

Yes and no.

I completely agree the ambition is domestic dominance and Europe is nice and funded accordingly.

But pumping money the club doesn't have into chasing Europe isn't wise either.

Needs to be something in the middle.

That looks a good 11/8 unfortunately I reckon. The drive McInnes is going to have after last year could take them a long way, Celtic are sleepwalking as per and you can't get a miracle every year. This summer was the time to properly readdress things and unsurpisingly that hasn't happened. If Rangers can't win it now they may forget about it

reality is the club have money but would rather pay corporation tax on profits, £33.6million in 10 years ( £11.5m last year in 2025)
70million in the bank
the stadium is decrepid
team is awful
and fans at at the end of their tether and all the communication a fan gets is crap about new kit etc
