If MON says pay the 1.5m and get Sarachi would they not do it?

Quote from: bennydorano on July 06, 2026, 05:00:06 PMThere's Alaistair Johnston, Callum Osmand and CCV back from injury, undoubtedly strengthens the team for the season ahead (Jota far away?)board will no doubt view them as 3 new signings!

100% but CCV has been injury prone and has missed a lot of big games for Celtic over the last 4 years. Always seems to be injured for CL games or qualifers. In saying all that the defence seems decent if no one moves on and we buy Saracchi. It's the midfield and forward line that scares me. Engels, Maeada and Nygren look the likely to move on. Hatate has asked for a move so I'll not be surprised if MON freezes him out until he's gone, I'd love to see Bernardo do something but MON would have seen him for 6 months last year and he obviously didn't fancy him so that's not looking good there either.
There's a pile of rumours flying around about Jota but if it's one thing Celtic are good at is keeping things under wraps so we honestly don't know anything about him but what is clear is he's had some sort of reaction or setback as he should have been back months ago so clearly somethings up. The best thing we can hope for is Osmand turns into a Marco Van Basten and we hit the jackpot...lol.
The top end of the pitch really is worrying

Same for me illdecide. That's about 90% of Celtic goals from the past few years all going out the door at the same time. No clue what this fella Duran is like. Celtic have signed some baduns in my time and 90% of the time people all 'liked the look of this fella' before he kicked a ball. 2 months later they realised he was shite 😂 hopefully he's decent.

Interesting....

Not sure what O'Neill is on about. He's a lackey for Desmond. These two should have been sorted 6 weeks ago.

And have them in for pre-season training. Obvious to everyone else but predictable from the board.

What are you on about? Sure they saved themselves 6 weeks' wages  ::)

Okay the wheels are moving slowly...but at least theyre moving!

Fingers crossed now for either or both of Saracchi and Ianacho.

This on top of re availability of Oxy, Osmand, CCV and AJ (who all had curtailed seasons last year) and maybe we will be okay.

Duran a punt...but you never know - he certainly wont miss as many sitters as Johnny Kenny!

Get a feeling there will be a few more announcements in the next few weeks too. Think we are shaping up better than some pessimists here are suggesting.

Embarrassing admission here from Celtic's CE.

From a BBC article today.

Can't compete with Championship teams and are actively looking for players who are out of contract.

A grifter of the highest degree.

People tend to forget that the English Championship is one of the biggest leagues in Europe.

tonto1888

yet Aberdeen have juts signed a keeper from wolfsburg. One of about 10 signings. Rangers making signings. Hearts have done. Smells like nonsense

Didn't even finish the first paragraph of that. What a load of shite. They are competing with championship teams because they won't spend any money ffs. They'll wait until they sell a few players and get about 50million and then spend about 10 of that on 8 players at the last minute.

Just came in to post this. What a shit show. Martin should just walk. Club are a joke. Why was his contract just not extended at the end of the season.

Gutted to lose a goalscorer of such obvious ability...but how many here  would pay that (£7.5m) given how much time he spends on the injured couch.

Im on the fence here myself. If you think he would stay fit and bang in 30 goals a season you'de pay it all day. But....

Will be interesting to see how his career goes in Turkey, thats for sure. Either we dodged a bullet or its another own goal of substantial proportions.
