Quote from: Capknee on October 05, 2026, 08:49:45 AMWas beside close to the Errigal Ultras. Chants of fat bastard to the Lough keeper and w**ker to McElholm.  Flares let off also.  County Board need to come down strong on the flares
What can be done though? Can hardly start banning young supporters from games or searching everyone that comes in
An education piece done by the clubs. With a view that the club is punished with a fine if breached. That will motivate the club to try and educate the youth, that it's not cool, funny or edgy to be at that sh!te. I've noticed it happening in more and more games this year. Chatting multiple neutral fans who commented on how not family friendly the games were. I think it's something that needs addressed.
I think theres no harm in it if its kept to behind the goals, out of the road and the w@nker etc chants are kept out of it.But yes the flares in the main stand are a disgrace, and the Lough ones are particularly bad for it, with Ronan O Niell getting a bad touch in the last round, no place for it in our game, its not soccer.Keep it supportive and the flares out of the main stands and off the pitch.
Thats the problem though it doesnt stay in the stand the smoke and smells gets blown across the pitch and everywhere
Can hear the lough supporters as well cheering when the other team kicks a wide, dont think there is any room in our sport for that as it is just unsportmanlike as the GAA is all about give respect get respect. However it is not just them and feel like oit has creeped into quite a few supporters the last couple of years

Loughmacrory fans are still giddy and getting to terms with being a part of big games. We'll only have to put up with it for a few more years
I think Loughmacrory will be around for a while yet.  All of their underage teams competing in Div 1.  If your from Carrickmore I'd suggest you should be asking why your team just threw in the towel against what is an average Donaghmore team.  17 points is disgraceful and embarrassing

McElholm is 21
McCullagh similar their oldest player are Shane Dobbs/Cathal D/Nathan Kelly captain around 28/29.

They have a bit to give yet

Yep young team. Look to be fairly consistently in grade 1 at underage levels too

Don't want to sound like a downer (or people complaining about kids at footballs games) but yesterday imo was only the second decent championship fixture.

The first being clonoe and edendork.

Every other games been fairly one sided. Even the Dungannon lough draw and donaghmore/carmen draw. You would say they were good games, Trilling in the final 5-10 in those draws but a poor spectacle overall.

I still feel we have one or the best championships in the country but the matches have been poor enough.

Looking at armagh this year, a much better contest. Even down to a degree ( since kilcoo beat)

Well deserved or......?

Senior Championship - Paul Gallagher (Castlederg)
Intermediate Championship - Cahel Bell (Killeeshil)
Junior Championship - Niall Conlan (Moortown)

I do rate Paul Gallagher in fairness but it is a very big game for him to be getting, thought be better suited for likes of sparky Loughran or Sean devenney

As in the Spark Loughran from Errigal Ciaran. I bet it'd suit Sparky and Errigal for him to ref the final  ;D  ;D  ;D

Jim Bob

I think Quinn should be given serious consideration for the senior final !
