doesn't one of their star forwards play for Linfield as well? probably reason enough not to like them  ;)

seriously though, they are being quite stupid doing this carry on to these teams especially when they have to go and visit the same teams next year.

Seriously? Who? Unbelievable if true

Calm down, its only a bit of soccer he's playing, not waving a burning Tricolor through Cookstown.

Who plays soccer for Irish league clubs is nothing to do with Tyrone club football and should not be discussed on this thread. It is not fair on the players.

heard he done his chances of an Irish call up no harm at all at the weekend with two goals against Augher with Irish managers in waiting Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane in attendance.

Reading with interest the comments regarding Cookstowns recent behaviour.  We had an unpleasant afternoon with them in an Ulster League match.

Again, like previous posts, nothing manly was on show.  Late tackles, nipping, stamping, verbals etc.  Reading here, Ardboe, Carrickmore, Clonoe, Errigal and Augher have all had similar.  The Fr Rocks boys are making some powerful enemies there.  Next year could be interesting for them.

BallinTyrone man lecturing Cookstown on indiscipline. Seen it all now. Go ask Bellaghy, Slaughtneil and Lavey about the behaviour of you supporters and players.

It's beginning to look a lot like the national message board on here. Cookstown are the new Tyrone on here. Perhaps we have just too many good players playing for us at the minute.

But for an unfortunate injury Paul McGurk could easily have been a Tyrone senior player for over ten years.  Legend of a player.  Ryan Pickering and Shea McGarrity were both honoured by an Errigal Ciaran and Carrickmore man to lead Tyrone to Ulster and All Ireland minor titles.

Martin Murray, Raymond Mulgrew, John Gilmore and Conor O'Hare all have an All Ireland minor medal as has Conor Mullan.  Barry Mulligan was man of the match in the 2004 All Ireland minor final.  Sean Cavanagh played on that team. Is it not just a case of things starting to go right for Cookstown?

We've also been bolstered by two excellent management teams in the last five or six years.  Chris Lawn, Declan O'Neill and John McKeever and Scotchy Hagan all have what it takes to progress on to county team management.

We might not have enough to overcome Carrickmore on Sunday but the days of two easy points in Cookstown are at an end for a while perhaps. Keep the abuse coming men it's hilarious how unhappy you all are at townie progress.

Barry Mulligan played on the 2001 Minor winning team.

I don't think anyone can argue about the quality that exists within the Cookstown side they have some excellent players. The problem is the behaviour of a few individuals and worse still officials.  If you condone some of the antics they have been getting up to then good luck to you as inevitably you will get a reaction from clubs next year. The problem lies in that club football is much less stewarded than county football and has the potential to get extremely nasty. If Cookstown continue down this road next year I can see them becoming embroiled in a major controversy which will do them or Tyrone club football little good. I have no axe to grind with the Cookstown club their supporters or player's but when a club begins to get a reputation of this nature it normally ends in longterm suspensions and ground closures.

All this bullshit off the ball shit talk will not be evident in Pomeroy on sunday as the fr rocks will have a track of manure running down the inside of ones legs. Hard men in cookstown silly little boys outside of it. Another thing whats with this circus of togging out their both teams for senior games? Intimadating? Wise up boys. If they come out of Pomeroy on sunday with a win it will be a miracle. I for one am praying for a Carmen win one reason is it will shut these Cookstown lunatics up and also it will leave Carmen facing dromore in a rather mouth watering tie so late on in the year.

I think that perhaps it is a little unfair to tarnish Cookstown over one or two individuals. On this particular board my own club has had individuals named on here for misdemeanours and people swear blind and document in posts what they "saw" happened. On every occasion they were incorrect and the people accused were absconded. Every team has, and perhaps needs a scallywag or two (although spitting or head-butting is different) but the problem is because there are far too many people on the sideline stoking the fires. Subs coming out of the dugout roaring and shouting is a pet hate of mine. Half these men aren't good enough to play and some are probably not playing because of a lack of genital glands!
What I will say is that Cookstown had a tactic when the seen Gabriel McCallan coming on the championship and it was to get him sent off. Some idiots here said McCallan was sent on to get sent off. These things wont be forgotten and a player or two may be reminded of this on Sunday in Pomeroy. Gormley, McGurk etc will be crapping them all week at this Cookstown intimidator machine  ::)

Would rather have Gabby McCallan any day than any off them Cookstown men....with Gabby what you see is what you get, if u where going to battle in a championship game i would take Gabby every day off the week... played against carrickmore for 10/12 years was never headbutted spat at or verbally abused........... fact...

Cookstown missing a lot of players through injury at minute from what I hear. Mulgrew broken wrist and a few other key players ruled out on Sunday. They have got to a top four play off on merit and have only lost three games all season, with one of the best defensive records in the league. Overall that is not a bad season for a team just up from Intermediate level.

Carrickmore will get through to Top 4.  It's like Bayern or Barcelona needing a point away from home  in the last game of the group stage.

Congratulations to Stewartstown who beat our minors in the league final today.Disappointed at not being able to complete the double but the Harps were by far the better side and were well worth their win.
