believe or not was talking to him on the monday after final he reckoned he was on panel 84 85 86 and 87. did he not start corner forward against dublin 84.

He definitely wasn't in the Championship 24 and didn't play a league or McKenna cup game in early 87 - that's not to say he wasn't in the extended panel though.

good enough cheers not many teams have done it over the years all the same.

Dromore goalkeeper Peter Ward has had his two-month suspension doubled after appealing his ban following an incident in the recent Tyrone SFC final. ;D ;D
Ward challenged the ban, only for the county board's Appeals Committee to increase it by a further two months.

His team-mate Emmet O'Neill, who was the only player sent off in the final, failed in his appeal against an eight-week sanction. Dromore manager Noel McGinn, who received a 72-week ban for a head-butting incident, decided not to challenge his punishment.

Clonoe, who won the final by a point after extra-time, fared better in their appeals to the county board. Emmet Teague had his 32-week suspension reduced to 16, while Colm Doris' eight-week ban was also halved.

Selector Harry McClure, however, failed in his appeal against a 12-week suspension.

The leagues in Tyrone this year have been reduced to a shambles - the usual end of season farce has got worse this year - you could safely predict the outcomes of nearly all of the remaining matches. Teams are throwing points all over the shop and teams in relegation trouble are in a lottery situation.

Are you suggesting there were points given away at the weekend orangeman? If so, which fixture?

st.patrick's athletic Vs Bohemians looked like a dodgy one to me!

betfair is supposedly keeping an eye on the betting patterns surronding the tattyreagh and Urney fixture but at this stage its mere speculation!

Tommo2

When are this weekends league FIX-tures released!!!

No love lost in that one, I'd be fairly certain it wasn't thrown.

However, I did hear anecdotal reports of an arrangement that was made between two teams at the weekend on the basis of favours done in previous seasons. However, word of this arrangement never reached the players (or the players duly ignored it) and the team in relegation trouble got beat!

castlederg won a grade 1 minor championship in 1988 with no county men. i'd say not too many minor teams can say that.

dont why people are shocked when they hear matches are being thrown. they should have kept the top 4/bottom 4 playoff scenario from previous years as this seemed to help prevent the throwing of matches at the end of the year.
