Great day for the Republican party. Trump Sr and Jr's fingerprints are all over todays shambles. More or less torpedoes the chances of a successful Trump nomination in 4 years, the best he can hope to do is split the Republican vote as a 3rd party candidate out of spite.

Big chance for the centrist elements of the Republican party to reclaim control, however they've a job to find a candidate who'll inspire the rabble whilst still appealing to the American centre ground in the next election.

If so called "centrist" elements of the Republican party wanted to be taken seriously as good faith operators, they would already have called for Trump's immediate impeachment and removal from office
