1. The impeachment was entirely legitimate. Trump DID try to abuse his power to get a foreign country to investigate his opponent for personal. political reasons. Just because the GOP were ok with that doesn't make it "fake".

2. If the Russia "hoax" was such a hoax, why did Trump obstruct and use the promise of pardon's to impede the investigation? Why were Fox News going nuts for months warning him about a "perjury trap" were he to testify? Why was Roger Stone, part of his campaign, working with them and Wikileaks to get the emails? Why was Donnie Jr meeting with Russians in Trump Tower in the hopes of getting dirt? Why has Trump bent over backwards to cravenly deny every legitimate allegation brought up against Putin? The government confirmed that the Russians had interfered. The only question was whether Trump and/or his campaign actually colluded with them. That was something that absolutely needed to be investigated.

This wasn't some baseless allegation dreamed up out of whole cloth like this bullshit election fraud campaign. Nor did the Dems attempt to stop him being inaugurated or mount a major, organized campaign to that effect as Trump and the GOP have done or literally tell a mob to march on the Capitol building to physically stop the process.

Great day for the Republican party. Trump Sr and Jr's fingerprints are all over todays shambles. More or less torpedoes the chances of a successful Trump nomination in 4 years, the best he can hope to do is split the Republican vote as a 3rd party candidate out of spite.

Big chance for the centrist elements of the Republican party to reclaim control, however they've a job to find a candidate who'll inspire the rabble whilst still appealing to the American centre ground in the next election.
