I get the idea that such prohibitions are supposedly a safeguard to protect the secrecy of the ballot and prevent intimidation or coercion, but has anyone ever actually been charged outside of such circumstances?

He will hardly be charged. But it has been officially pointed out on twitter. Then again the lack of perspective during this cycle has been unbelievable, so I suspect Trump might insist he is locked up.

Not a whole lot. If you give Trump FL (44.9), NC (44.5), NV(41.7) and NH (30.2) and the states he is >60% favorite in he only has 269 (need 270) He would still need either MI (21.1) or PA (23).

I think that favors HRC.

I thought state specific polls couldn't  be published until the polls closed
