About as unsatisfying a last gasp win as you could ask for. Shocking defending once again, for all the goals.

Moreno should have whipped off the field straight after giving that penalty away. After getting away with the first idiotic "tackle", he straight away fouls again when he hasn't a hope of getting near the ball. Appears to be seriously brainless at times in his discipline and decision making.

On the bright side, at least they got a few goals, but then Norwich were arguably worse defensively. They won't come up against a defense so generous too often.

I don't think it's papering over the cracks because he's fairly unambiguous in his assessment. If they won, and he spoke about character alone, or thought it was just one of those games, that would be papering over the cracks.

I think Klopp knows exactly what he's looking at.

Spot on. I would like to have heard Brendan's assessment if he was managing today. They are absolutely all over the place defensively and every team in the land much fancy themselves from a set piece.

Considering Klopp had already gone nuclear over a bit of accurate timekeeping (just when I'd have thought that he would have appreciated good timekeeping),
then his psyche was hit with a sledgehammer with that example of truly awful, dreadful defending.
It's no surprise that he publicly ripped the defending.
Klopp needs to brush up on the defensive side of his coaching, too much focus on running around a lot.

And in addition to this if they hadn't been so poor at defending in that same season they may have won the league!!

The run they went on towards the end of the season was incredible. They were a bit loose at the back but they always won the shootouts. The one goal that cost the league was Gerrard's slip. He did plenty for Liverpool to get to that position in the first place so wouldn't be blaming him, just one of those things. Didn't they scrape a load of 1-0's at the start of the season when Suarez was suspended.
