Interesting semi-final pairings.

I think at this stage all 4 teams could make a case for going on and winning the whole thing.

Take the Mark

Yes, indeed NAG. Its wide open with any of the final 4 capable of winning it.

Biddies were looking too far ahead of themselves.  You have to give Dunloy the respect they deserve otherwise they will catch you out. Brigids left with too much to do in that 2nd half and ran out of time.

Didn't see anything in that game to make me think they would even be contenders. Who or how many were they missing from their first 15?

NorthAntrimSaff

Is there only 1 downey playing or what is the story there?

Spike

Toome is too close to Gulladuff so there was a big risk their former teammates would come and watch how far they had fallen

SaffronOak

There was plenty of their former 'team mates' in attendance at Toome to witness the game  ;)

Is there many of them playing now?

Good underage but never pushed on.

Family name, like in a lot of cases, probably got them a good start.

Must have been a mess the way it ended up.

Will the semi-finals be in Dunsilly?

One played, one came on.  Three others were there - dont know why they werent part of the panel.  Plenty of rumours about fall out etc but you're always going to get that with them given what has transpired.  I would think it's injury as two of them at least looked like they were still very much part of the extended squad.
They are good footballers, very good underage to the point some of them were part of a Lavey side that won the Ulster minor at St Paul's.

So Dunloy in fact had more "blow ins"

EOC1923

Noticed the new Antrim manager there on Saturday at the game. He will have liked some of what he saw though in all likelihood the players he would want are likely not to be available for him. Likes of Seann and Nigel Elliot, Decky Smith and Keelan Molloy. Ronan Boyle had a decent game for St Brigids.

asaffgael

Is Decky Smith on the Antrim hurling panel?

No.  Had been part of a football panel a couple of years back (I think) but he's been unlucky with injuries.

Thought Reuben Carleton had a good game also, putting aside his missed two point frees.

One of the stand out things from the Championship so far is that our established county players don't stand out. There are no real elite players in the county.
