Christmas Lights

The worrying thing is probably how dependent we are on the Canavans to pull out 9 outa 10 performances every game they play.  Even a lot on here seem to think once Darragh comes back everything will be alright. That's a huge amount of pressure to be heaping on him,  and he's going to be the centre of attention for all opposition. Last 2 performances have been worrying from Tyrone and it's unfair on the Canavans to try and solve all the issues.

Really fear for how we fare for the rest of the league. MOR looks a bit out of his depth, same old team playing the same tactics of the last 4 years. Thought he would've added a spark or change to Tyrone's play but in reality only Morgan and Kennedy produce top quality moments for us.

McElholm and O'Hare have been particularly disappointing. Look so lightweight and ineffective.
I think that's really harsh. You could have named 10 or 11 lads who were disappointing today.
I think both lads you have mentioned have massive potential

That's madness. Someone, 3 games in, and with a track record as a winner, is hardly out of his depth.
I thought those two you mentioned have actually shown glimpses of something that could be described as exciting.
Ruairi and Darragh hardly tore up matches when they arrived on the scene.
Unfortunately, we live in times with little patience.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

HokeyPokey

Jaysus, tis the third game and the league. People need to calm down. The team had a good few changes I think, so they probably want to give everyone a game or two.

With the new format and so many more games, there's a good amount of time to let things click and develop. Tyrone don't need to be at full tilt for a good few months yet.

Give them some time. Dooher and Logan probably didn't deserve to be given 3 bad years, but I think MOR deserves more than three league games (winning one) before he is written off...

Aaron Boone

The third round of the League tends to tell if you're looking up or down.

So it's another season of Tyrone scrambling for the 6 points and see then where we are.

It was a poor loss today, 9-7 up then lose 12-10 (5pts to 1 for the Maritime men down the stretch).

Hopefully a vocal support at the weekend. Need to back the lads

Jerome

£80K salary for this. Should have been Paul Devlin.

Tyrone's middle 8 remains a massive problem. No pace and no directness, all too slow. Not starting OHare is questionable as he has shown some glimpses in his first two games. The lack of directness from our half back and half forward lines needs addressed. We need the Errigal contingent back to help with this. In my opinion the middle 8 should look something like:
O'Hare
McKernan (if we can afford to keep him away from man marking duties he's a great asset going forward)
Harte
Kennedy
Conn
Seanie O'Donnell
Eoin McElholm/Ruairi Canavan
Joe Oguz

Whole set of new rules, best players missing... 1 win at home, 2 away defeats including All Ireland champions... sack the incoming manager   :D

Is Mattie Donnelly a sub role now? Teague has size and can kick a point, could he move out the pitch if hampsey returns?

GaaGPT

We really rely too much on Morgan coming up the pitch. Think we need Donnelly or McShane as our 14. We cannot play Darragh, ruari, mcelhom, sparky all at once

cjx

Appaling shooting and misdirected passes Worst Co. game l have seen many a year. Brennan seems to have upped the organisation but I cannot see Teague as county material.
Tyrone won very few dirty balls. Do they care enough!?? Kennedy excellent but noone picked up his knockdowns which were often good. No drive, a confused look. Conditioning very bad!!! Conn looked mad headless chicken at times. Role needs defining better. The forwards need to take pressure off Morgan who had a schoolboy swipe at the ball at the end. Look at the 2 pointers in Donegal and Galway games. Tyrone missed 4 2points attempts with a good wind behind them in 1st half. A very disheartening thing for younger players in particular. O'Rourke had better smarten up. Should have given at least 3 Errigal players 30min each. This was the match to win with 4 hard ones to come. The only one to truly suss the new rules is McGuinness. Donegal superb!! Run their video to death and learn: Very fast please.

Seems to be a lot of momentum building behind getting rid of the goalkeeper induced 12 v 11 overload. Personally I agree after watching yesterdays fare.

Obv Morgan is one of our biggest strengths and will be severely curtailed if this were to be implemented. Question is, would it be crazy to see him take up an out field role?

tiempo

Round pegs on round holes

1 Morgan
2 McKernan
3 Clarke
4 Hampsey
5 O'Donnell
6 Donnelly
7 O'Hare
8 Kennedy
9
10 P Harte
11
12
13 McCurry
14 Darragh
15

A MF partner for Kennedy
CHF and strategy outside of McCurry and Darragh is the huge question mark

1-8 is class
10-15 imperfect but I think the players and answers are there, gonna take grit above all else, only Tyrone teams that ever won anything had grit, time will tell

I think one of the problems at the minute is that our players are too comfortable taking the easy pass back to morgan.

They've become overly reliant on him. There were so many times on sunday when we were in attacking positions, with space ahead and just turned back to morgan.
