New to the board.. interested to see the new rules in place this weekend, has anyone heard how things are in the camp? Whispers that Fermanagh overturned our lads a few weeks ago does not sound too promising.

Things very quiet indeed, must be a deliberate ploy from MOR. Don't know what to expect this weekend. New rules would certainly suit Tyrone in an attacking sense, but not sure about the defensive side of things

ps. Not over my fear of new accounts after the debacle during the club championship last year

soloandgo25

Yeah, a pity to be honest.. in an ideal world we would have more access to our inter county teams but ah well. Has there been any new faces/cuts made? Would be interested to see some of our young lads get a good crack at it with these new rules!

Healy park have power for tonight?

Big opportunity for the Tyrone hurlers this year in Division 2.

Promotion to Div 1 is in all likelihood a step too far, but managing to retain Div 2 status would be great for Tyrone's development.

Derry today in Omagh is probably as good a draw they could have hoped for.

Be interesting to see how they get on this year.

Few surprises in Malachys line up. I'll be even more surprised if there isn't a couple of changes announced at 5.45? Anyhow the bench does look strong, probably hasn't seen us with as good a bench since 2021. Every side will utilise all 5 subs with the pace of the game ratcheting up under the new rules

Big test for Nathan McCarron.

Heard McElholm and Bradley both had niggling injuries of late, so an opportunity for Ronan Cassidy

Strong Derry starting 15. As far as I can see only padraig mcgrogan and Conor McCluskey would be missing form their best 15? Lachlan Murray is dangerous, I'd be concerned with the 3v3 match ups

Hard to know how this will go, so much change and uncertainty from last year

McKinless missing for Derry as well.

After Tyrone recent league performances in the last few years it was a welcome win. Solid in defence with Kennedy dominant in midfield. Having burns and Teague in defence adds some much needed strength and r Brennan to add in its good signs. They free up Mckernan and Ohare to attack.

Good win with plenty of options to return

ONeill

What was the story with the 2 2-pointer lines? I missed the explanation.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

HokeyPokey

I think if the new rules are in place come championship, Morgan could be such a weapon to have. I don't think there's any other goalkeeper that can kick as well and is as athletic as Morgan, while also being a natural goalkeeper.

God14

Yeah, Morgan struggled at times tonight, responsible for a few scores conceded, but ultimately delivered when it mattered. Our second goal had his finger prints all over it
Plenty of promise:
Kennedy won the midfield battle
Peter Teague showed why many us where frustrated he never got a chance under the previous management team
Shea Ohare and Conor McElhom showed huge promise making their NFL debuts. Two class acts from last year's u20s
Serious talent to come back in yet

All tempered by the fact that Derry were poor.

Great 2 points last night against a strong looking derry team. Good to see a big crowd in healy park again too. Walked across the pitch after the game and it was in a shocking state for a county ground. Dungannon needs to be utilised for more league games.

NotedObserver

What age is Peter Teague? Always thought hard done by with playing corner back out of nowhere v Armagh. Great to see Seanie O'Donnell driving forward yesterday and the 2 pomeroy men moving freely for the first time in a few years.

Goals_Will_Come

Good start last night. Thought Kennedy best player on the pitch, brilliant throughout. Followed not far behind by McKernan - hopefully retained at 6 now Teague and Brennan back involved in the panel, he is a massive asset going forward. Aidan Clarke, Shea O'Hare, Frank Burns and Seanie O'Donnell also had good performances. Great to see a strong bench back again as well - McElholm, Kilpatrick, Brennan, Bradley are all fantastic players to be introducing.
Hopefully back up the win with another one, stringing back to back performances and results has been a problem over the past 3 years.
