Best of luck tomorrow to my former charge here in Barcelona, Eoin Connolly who's back home the last year or so with St. Teresa's.

Championship finals weekend has arrived!

Should be decent games today in the Junior and Intermediate Finals.

As I've said previously I fancy Antrim and Ballymena to win today.

Antrim have played well this season in the league and Ballymena have had a great season finishing 3rd in Div 1, and that was with a few of their big players out also.

Hope all teams have everyone fit and ready to go today.. then roll on Ulster for the winners in a few weeks time!

Tomorrow's senior final I just can't see anything else but a Cargin win. Would be great to see Portglenone win but time will tell!!

Great weekend of football in store

Ballymena and Antrim probably both bigger favourites than Cargin.

It would be a huge upset if neither were to win.

League reconstruction has meant Intermediate is as weak as it has been for a long time, with the exception of Ballymena, who played division 1 this year but managed to be the team to stay in Intermediate championship, despite being runners up last year.

To be fair they were taking a slight risk with their senior status for 2025 by going this route but should come through handy and then hopefully have a good solid go at Ulster.

With no Moneyglass Tir na nog Glenravel or Dunloy this season in intermediate, it can't be anything else but a Ballymena win.
Although in finals, stranger things have happened.

One of our finest ever footballers Alec McQuillan is representing Ulster in Jim Gavins think tank. Be interesting to see what recommendations are approved.

Anyone watching the intermediate stream? If so is it working? Mine won't at all

Slemishgael

All Saints 7 points up at HT... few bad wides also. They'd a big wind behind them also.

Got the stream working after connecting to a UK VPN. Ballymena look to be vastly superior, even accounting for the wind. Black card came from a very tired looking tackle after turning the ball over from a very tired looking pass.

Silver Eel

11-2 and ballymena all the play in the second half so far. Not looking good for St T's

gallsman

Ah it's different levels entirely. In terms of ability, athleticism and conditioning and how they're set up, you can see that Ballymena are light years ahead.
