Not an old team by any stretch, a couple of the totem men though are, won't matter for this Sunday however at some stage the team will have to go without them.

Cargin have done a good job of blending in youth with at least 1 a year , they new gang are very talented though not yet at the top tier and the future is not yet written.

Pat, Sean and Conhuir as good as anything in the county.  Integration of those lads with the experience of JLav, Mick, Tomas and Justy etc has been crucial.  Hat tip to Devlin and his backroom team for the work being done there, for sure.

Portglenone have younger, more skilful players than those

It is a tense time in the run up to a SFC final. I had a dream during the week that Portglenone win 4-10 to 3-8. Which means the younger skilful players will overcome the experienced crafty ones.
Hope you have a good final and the debate after is about the quality of the football on show with the referee, venue and streaming avoiding complaint.

Arrogance can be confused with a confidence that comes from winning 5 in 6 years...

Score line like that, did they get the two teams to play hurling instead?

You are right Spike, also if my dreams came true I wouldn't be contributing (nonsense) to the GAA Board on a Friday afternoon.

Good luck to both teams on Sunday, and the ref. Whatever happens, you'll be talking about it for years. Personally it would be nice to see a new name on the trophy, but that's no disrespect to Cargin, good team and you can only admire the way their players have come back for more year after year (although I'm sure it's a bit easier when you are winning!).
