Many would consider this news worthy to people who consider the likes of X as nothing more than a cesspit and prefer to get their news from reputable sources. The BBC however don't think so. That should be a massive tell to anyone who hasn't realized already what this media organization is.

The BBC are in the business of confirming stuff before putting it on the air. You can't expect them to put everything spread on Twitter onto TV.

When a very vocal BBC director has only recently sold his stake in the Jewish Chronicle has a lot of editorial control then you can join the dots.

Any concern over the BBC etc would be more about what they don't present than what they do present with Israel Palestine being prime example but the misinformation and the things presented on twitter etc as gospel is not having a good effect on the world - at all.

Has Matt Miller,John Kirby or Vedant Patel infiltrated this board?

Would nationalists have benefitted from having an uncensored social media platform post partition? I think they would. I don't think hardline unionists would have liked it one bit. Preferring dissent gets silenced rather than encourage rebuttals to poor speech is saddening for me to see from nationalists who lived through the troubles and the shenanigans of the british state and their 'truths' .

Also ... the likes of X has reporting features. If someone is encouraging violence, they should be reported.

Would it be fair to say skull that all social media, main stream media has a narrative, fixed view, censored ideas or whatever, and taking things face value all the time would be foolish?

Not saying you do of course, saying nationalists believed everything the Brits said is a stretch and a spin a d not relevant to current conversation, republican news paper was very popular round my way back in the day, plenty of articles on collusion so it was about, maybe not up your way  ;)

Trust you to come in with some irrelevant nonsense.

The BBC is a publicly funded body meaning we all pay for it, and therefore it has a duty to present a balanced view, not parrot stuff from the government, or indeed a foreign government that is murdering thousands of children.

SM platforms on the other hand are the views of anyone who wants to contribute any oul bollocks based on their opinion,  which people can either choose to believe or not.

Associated Press have confirmed it if anyone still has any doubts about the footage.  Though why anyone would at this stage is beyond me.

Nobody was saying this wasn't real

What isn't real are a lot of posts on Twitter.

That was lost on some people though

The link to the footage was posted.  There followed a discussion of how lots of stuff on X isn't real, and how easy it is to fake footage these days.

Fairly reasonable to put up AP's confirmation of it here, in case anyone had doubts.

Below, on here, was the original post for this current conversation. It's stating that X is a good news outlet, what followed were posts on how bad it is.

On the Gaza thread people have actually commented on what those animals have done and continue to do.

Not sure where the doubts came from

'The Greatest Footballer Never to Play Football'

Carlos Henrique Raposo commonly known as 'Carlos Kaiser', is a Brazilian con artist and former footballer who played as a striker.
Although his abilities were far short of professional standards, he managed to sign for numerous teams during his decade-long career. He never actually played a regular game, the closest occurrence ending in a red card whilst warming up, and hid his limited ability with injuries, frequent team changes, and other ruses.
