I've no idea tbh, but in true Derry council fashion, as they do with every single land grab in the city, they'll sit on it until they can't do anything about it... Something about too much paper work and having to do a days work

Either the land was always private, but the council had paved it, or the council gave permission for a private business to put a shed on their square in front of a mural. Either way, it is all a bit odd.

Again if the sentences aren't enough the blame lies with parliament.

The cameras are coming in two weeks - it has taken a year to get funding, procure them etc etc. This impacts me a lot personally and it is an absolute pain in the hole

Everyone has seen the footage (thanks to citizen journalism and the X platform) of Israeli soldiers throwing the bodies of Palestinian men off roofs in the West Bank (not Gaza). 

Many would consider this news worthy to people who consider the likes of X as nothing more than a cesspit and prefer to get their news from reputable sources. The BBC however don't think so. That should be a massive tell to anyone who hasn't realized already what this media organization is.

Regardless of the media outlets and what they show and don't show, Twitter is a cesspit, crazy statements, lots of stuff not fact checked and brainless headers believing every word people post.

Quite relevant to the above post regarding those bomb scares. I was reading a thread there on twitter with some boy adamant that it's the perfect thing for republicans, the GAA etc to do for PR. Any old shite is made up and people will believe it.

Regardless of whether the footage is real of not, it's relatively easy to fake that video to a high standard. Analysis and forensics will eventually prove legitimacy but by that point it's been shared millions of times all over the world and gone viral. The other side is media outlets are held to higher standards and can't just take for granted anymore pictures and videos are real.

It's the times we live in but lots of these critical thinkers are all getting played by more nefarious people than the main stream media and government. It's not hard to identify the fakes and misinformation, and where it originated from but ultimately it's too late as once enough critical thinkers have latched onto something, it's virtually impossible to convince them otherwise.
