Meanwhile the man that half the county couldn't wait to get rid of is back in yet another Quarter final.

It is. Unlike you and Harte I don't want to see Tyrone's biggest rivals win.

Long runs the fox Mickey's boy 😅

Substandard

Didn't think we had it in us to win today, even if this Tyrone team is a shadow of past outfits.  A woefully flat first half for Tyrone,  and we avoided our customary 2nd half slump.  A lot of great Tyrone players showed a lot of mileage in the legs today, and a year or two for some very bright young prospects to get up to speed.  Success and achievement are relative, ye have been at the top table, but today is a high water mark for our lads.  Hopefully we can give it a rattle next week, and maybe even get another day out.

You do realise there is no next week and we're out?

He's from Roscommon

Fresh voice surely required and this has to be clear to management also. Someone needs to be run the rule over club championship so decision to be made soon.

Fitness, team shape and squad depth all below par. Without Darragh Canavan they would be unwatchable

Dooher and Logan will go down as legends in Tyrone as players and for winning Sam as managers in 2021. But there's no doubt about it they just aren't good enough for Tyrone. I know from talking to some county players over the last few years (keeping their names confidential) have all said dooher in particular was hard to work with. One of the best coaches in Ireland (paddy Tally) is getting paid big bucks to coach Kerry. Surely Tyrone should be bringing him in. I remember in mugsy's book he mentioned how important paddy was in 2003. And if we can get a manager, whether it's paul devlin or go for the likes of oroarke. The talent is there in Tyrone but it's just getting the right men to make it work.

Dooher reminds me of Roy Keane in a way. A fantastic player who set, and demanded, very high standards.

Maybe as a coach/manager, he has them high standards but the players aren't at that level. Maybe that's unfair?

Logan I though would bring a calmness and logical thinking to the group and that the two would work well together.

In regards to their AI win a few years ago, great as it was etc. it's not regarded as a 'proper' AI win. So the management don't get the full credit for that win. It'll always be held against them.  Performances/wins since that seem to justify that analysis.

The thing is, Tyrone as a huge nationalist county, will always have the players an will always be in the running for Ulster minor, U20 and senior championships.  They'll always have the talent coming through to senior level.

One player who I admire hugely is Mattie Donnelly. A legend to Trillick and Tyrone football. Serious injuries and to still come back, year after year, just shows the drive in the man. A serious operator and a great leader.

Since the first game/draw against Cavan combined with league form Tyrone were going nowhere this year

Prolonging the agony at best

If we can't beat Roscommon at home then we would have been in for some mauling by Dublin or Kerry. A blessing in disguise

End of the road for a few men but they can bow out with their head up

The whole setup looks like it needs a total clear out in the same vein as Donegal last year. At least the talent conveyor belt is in rude health
