Quote from: Itchy on January 01, 2024, 09:48:24 PMThe games gone absolutely crazy if you watch a replay of that dive and STILL give a penalty.

Can't clip someone through on goal. Penalty.

What clip lol

You'll see a replay after the game. You may not like that it's a penalty, but doesn't mean it isn't a penalty.
That being said I don't know why he didn't just score, could always miss a penalty, may not be given etc.

The angle from behind shows the keeper's elbow clip his ankle. He impeded him enough that he wasn't going to reach the ball  for the roll in. That Jota then said "f**k it" and went down just to make sure is irrelevant and has been for years.

Quote from: trueblue1234 on January 01, 2024, 09:53:51 PMRef shouldn't have given it imo. But once he had, was never going to be overturned as there was contact. Dunno why he didn't just carry on and tap it in. The ball wasn't even getting away from him.
Then a stonewall free not given on edge of the square. Gary saying ref had been good, personally thought he is ropey enough.
Ref has been dreadful as has Neville on commentary
SHOCKING REVELATIONS!!!

Itchy

It's gone so fucked up that people have been acclimatised now to actually think that brushing of the keepers elbow means it's not a dive and is a penalty. It's irrelevant in the end and best team by a mile won but that's as ridiculous a decision as you'll see

Absolutely vile penalty decision that will signal an upsurge in diving across the PL.

Best team won and should have won by double that score line. But what a dreadful decision.

"Vile" ? Steady on  :(

Tony Baloney

Jesus time some lads on here were back at work.

Some balls on Salah to step up to take the second Penalty.
Would still have doubts about them though, looked vulnerable enough at the back and are missing way too many chances.
SHOCKING REVELATIONS!!!

It's the knock on effects of this that make it such a vile decision.

PL refs have gone from waving yellows for simulation at the start of the season, to giving it the maximum reward.

The next batches of PL games will be a non stop exhibition of diving. Which I hate watching.

Quote from: clarshack on January 01, 2024, 09:49:53 PMClear dive from the Liverpool player there and the penalty still given. Scandalous.

Liverpool's name on the trophy.
It's on it since the last time they won it sure.

Will be the first time for Liverpool supporters in attendance to see their team lift the Premier league trophy in Anfield. If not already done it's best for a supporter like yourself to book in for that May 19th weekend.
