Liverpool's name on the trophy.
It's on it since the last time they won it sure.

Will be the first time for Liverpool supporters in attendance to see their team lift the Premier league trophy in Anfield. If not already done it's best for a supporter like yourself to book in for that May 19th weekend.

Would still have doubts about them though, looked vulnerable enough at the back and are missing way too many chances.

Yes. Especially with Salah gone for the next month. So much goes through him.

I still fancy them to hit 80 points or so, but City will hit around the 90 mark.

Trent's passing is unreal. Can pick a lock from 40 yards. There was some beautiful passes hit by him and Endo. Mo going to be a huge loss. Maybe this will be when Nunez will step up. His work rate is fantastic, as is some of his hold up play. But needs to start turning the score clock a bit more.

Quote from: thewobbler on January 01, 2024, 10:11:56 PMIt's the knock on effects of this that make it such a vile decision.

PL refs have gone from waving yellows for simulation at the start of the season, to giving it the maximum reward.

The next batches of PL games will be a non stop exhibition of diving. Which I hate watching.

Have you been on the new year punch? Or is this the first PL game you've watched?

Couple of awful decisions went against us in the last game v Burnley and you usually get a bit of luck when you are so dominant. Well deserved win.

I think that was probably Curtis Jones best performance in a Liverpool jersey in the league and Gomez had an excellent game at left back. Endo has been terrific the last 4 or 5 games, he's going to be a loss next month.

Be interesting to see if we can cope without Mo. He is such a fantastic player, best in the league, hope we can keep in touch while he's away.

Keep in touch? They are top of the league by 3 points!
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

And five points ahead of Manchester City who will be hoping to stay in touch to be the only genuine challenger.

Quote from: thewobbler on January 01, 2024, 10:06:58 PMAbsolutely vile penalty decision that will signal an upsurge in diving across the PL.

Best team won and should have won by double that score line. But what a dreadful decision.

Is everything ok??

From previous experience Keeping in touch is keeping ahead of Man City.

Jotta wouldn't have gone down if he hadn't been touched. The touch knocked him off his stride and caused him to lose balance when he next placed the touched foot on the ground. VAR approved it as well so there can be no complaints.

Considering that the absolute maximum City can get now is 97, (thats assuming they win 19 games in a row including trips to Anfield and the Tottenham stadium), they are not hitting 90.
They've dropped points in 7 out of the first 19 games. They will drop more between now and May.

Ahh look, for me that shouldn't be a penalty. Ref should have played on. Was a dive regardless of the minor touch. Still dunno why he didn't go on and shoot. That said, ref would still have got abuse for not giving it. Such is life!

Quote from: J70 on January 01, 2024, 09:27:31 PMNunez could have had a hattrick tonight. Team could be four or five up. This could be costly if they don't pull it out in the last half hour.

Darwin Nunez couldn't finish an ice cream.
