How the hell did he swing this job after almost ten years of abysmal failings at liverpool?

Ayre actually did a reasonable job at Liverpool in my opinion. Difficult circumstances early in his tenure. He was originally commercial director and did a lot to improve that side of the club in terms of competing with the likes of United and arsenal.  In the last few years as md be has got the stadium redevelopment moving and there is no doubt the club is much stronger now than agency he came in.

You can't fault him for failings on the pitch.

I think Swansea will do a job on us today.

Brutal defending once again. You just get the feeling of it being one of those days.

Looked at Swansea price today, 6/1 at home ridiculous price
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

No wides

Lucky to be only 1 down truth be told. We came back into it a bit in the last 10mins but even at that I can't remember us having a shot on target.

Cause we didn't LL. Big second half here, see what some of these boys are about.

Far far better 2nd half. I thought Milner was excellent in that half.
In all honesty I think a draw would have been a fair result. Some miss from Swansea in injury time.
Dont know what to make of Karius. He didn't have much to do but when he was called upon he didn't look great.

Good win. Swansea have been awkward in recent matches against them but good to see a 'grinder'. Nice to be going into the break unbeaten.

Much better second half, we probably should've had a few more but lucky as f**k at the end with that miss. Karius hasn't filled me with great confidence in the small amount that he has had to do especially coming out for crosses.

Dire Ear

Always lovely to come back from being behind and win

Karius is suffering as many foreign keepers do in that they are not coached to come out and dominate when crosses come in. DeGea learned, no reason why Karius can't. Obviously it remains to be seen if he is half the keeper DeGea is otherwise, as he hasn't really been tested in terms of shot stopping. In the meantime, I would worry about teams like United from corners and crosses.

All that aside, good away win in the end.
